could you explain that one?
It's a new missile parameter, show-info on a missile in game to see it. It governs how quickly missile damage falls off when conditions aren't perfect and full damage isn't being done. A higher value of DRF, as for torps, means that damage falls off more quickly - reflecting the reduced spread of velocities that exists among BS. |

ahhh, that explains a lot
see, stuff like this happens when you actually... dont even have any missiles in your hangar |

Check my fitting, it has buffer, resists and one rep tank. Further its an afterburner speed tank (400-500m/s), which works very well vs BS these days, even vs bc. Smaller stuff, well just dual web, scram, disrupt and kill em |

I dont see how you'll tackle much going 400-500 m/s - anyone with a MWD themselves will burn away and dictate range on you - or warp off.

I kitted out two ishtars yesterday. I got my hands on two medium 'gattotte' capacitor boosters which meant I could fit dual rep, mwd, ab, injector and medium neut without using expensive faction gear, but it still barely fits both in CPU and grid. I could not decide what rigs to fit, so I haven't gotten any yet. Armour rigs hurt the speed, speed rigs hurt the tank, so it's a decent balance and relatively cheap without rigs.

I am really looking forward to testing the AB+MWD fit - MWD for running back to gates and approaching targets, AB for orbiting and thus, damage negation. I picked the scrambler over a web because in close-range, it can take over from the scram and thus save a lot of cap, and it will effectively pin down cruisers and larger with a MWD. The medium neut I felt was compulsory as defense against fastmovers, together with the warriors and the scram.

I used to run dual rep dual med nos using a pair of grid rigs myself, i guess it could run neuts instead but since i generally go chasing bs it's personal preference, though you should hae enough lights to deal with frigs + you're incredibly agile + you've got a web.
Oh and btw the cheapest way to free cpu is a faction ex hardener, avoid ts/db and the cost is negligible, shadow armour gear has tii stats and fitting like ts, but cost less -------------------------

Lol. Gotta love Douglas Adams. Nice fit by the way. You also might try a buffer tank with resists only and put a TD instead of cap booster. I dunno if cap will hold with AB + point + neut + td though. |

I considered using grid rigs but they massively increase the ISK loss for a very minor gain (save a few mil isk on the capacitor booster, able to fit 2 nos or neut+nos)

If you're putting AN EANMs on it I'm sure you can spare a few rigs..?

Yeah but the faction EANMs are actually needed for it to be even remotely *****ble, and I got them really cheap.

Looks nice, but you still have quite of a big explosive resist hole there (57% with maxed skills). Putting an Anti-expl pump will lower your AB speed with about 30 ms, and MWD with about 80 ms. Not that big of a sacrifice imo. And if u dont want to gimp tank/speed any further, there are always some nice electronic superiority rigs for sale |

Adding an explosive pump will move one of the EANMs third in the stacking formula, thus adding only about 16% of resists instead of the base thirty. That means your average tank only increase by 4% - for a loss of much more than 4% velocity. |

Since you already have the faction eanm, how about something like this?
[Ishtar, Dual Propulsion] 1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I Small Armor Repairer II Amarr Navy Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane Amarr Navy Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane Damage Control II
Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive 10MN Afterburner II Warp Scrambler II Stasis Webifier II Balmer Series Targeting Inhibitor I
200mm AutoCannon II, EMP S 200mm AutoCannon II, EMP S 200mm AutoCannon II, EMP S Small 'Solace' I Remote Bulwark Reconstruction Small 'Solace' I Remote Bulwark Reconstruction
Trimark Armor Pump I Trimark Armor Pump I
With armor rigging to 4, this setup goes 472 m/s with afterburner, or 1204 with mwd. 54.6k effective hp at max skills. Everything fits, or replace the faction eanm for t2 and fit a 3% cpu. Or you could change the stasis webifier and scrambler for best named. Lastly you can replace the tracking disruptor for eccm. All depending on taste.
The autocannons are to kill drones obviously, and the small remote reps are to repair your drones that they start to attack. Remember to scoop the drones and relaunch when they are in armor. This way they have to target them again, and you can repair the damaged drones. While the energy neut would be nice on this ship, its not essential since you have a variety of ways to deal with tacking ships, such as warrior IIs, energy neut drones, and ecm drones. Take your pick. |

The problem he has it he wants it to be remote-reppable using 3 lows, therefore he needs a good buffer (or the ability to evade heavy damage, hello ab) long enough to be locked and repped effectively, this requires high resists. Now unless you want to spend some isk on trimarks you're probably going to have to loose that dcu to plug that exp hole (or more likely a rep), in my case i use a single eanm, faction ex hardener and dcu, slight lower resists but better all round.
My earlier remark was aimed at sg/solo (given your emphasis on tackle) but to make rr effective like you want you're going to have to compromise somewhere, it simply seems like a choice between resists or cost. -------------------------

Don't have it in front of me but I believe my setup goes something like this:
[Ishtar, RR]
MAR II 1600mm RT Plate EANM II TS EANM DCU II
10Mn MWD II SS Warp Scram (10k, 3 points) X5 Web Medium Electro Cap Booster Sensor Booster II / TP / ECCM / TD whatever you want
3x Light Neutron Blaster II w/CN Antimatter 1x Small Diminishing Neut 1x Small Diminishing NOS
2x Ancillary Current Router I
5x T2 Heavys 5x T2 Sentries 5x Hammerhead II 5x Valkyrie II 5x Warrior II
Highs can probably be tweaked, works nicely though, big HP buffer gives time for reps to get on you in gangs, and the MAR + 1600mm RT plate works well solo. |

This is a typo right?? You don't actually fit both AB and MWD to your ship do you??
I sincerely hope it's a typo. |

Seems that most people are opting to not use all the bonuses of the ship which is fine, but I try to stick to them whereever possible:
High 3 x Ion II, 2 x Small Neut II
Med AB II, True Sansha Cap Booster (400), Fleeting Web, Drone Nav Comp, Omnidirectional Tracking link (This is a drone ship after all and can swap one of the mods out for a disrupter for pvp if required).
Low TS Med Repper, TS Explosive, 2 x TS EANM, Pseudoelectron Containment field
Rigs 2 x Nanobot accelerator
Drones Tech II (Heavy, Med, light) mix it up as you see fit.
This setup gives a serious punch up close, but if you need more low end stability drop to electron IIs and squeeze in the 2nd MAR II and go with Aux Nano pumps.
Ishtar rocks when setup nice.
