When I clone jump my client freezes in the current station and I have to exit out of the program. When I get back online I'm in the new station but when I enter a ship some of the modules won't online properly. Then if I launch to space my modules won't light up when active and I can't lock targets nor see my shield/armor/structure indicators move.
The only fix is to exit the client and delete my "settings" folder which is a REAL drag since afterward I have to reset all of my settings in game.
I'm running Windows Vista.
Does anyone know how to fix or avoid this issue with Clone Jumping?

Edited by: Shuari on 07/01/2009 13:36:53 When that happens create a petition to have a GM disconnect the session from their side. They will usually react with 2-3 minutes of your petetion and it will fix the problem 100% of the time. I know because I've had to do it over 25 times.
Note that you don't lose your settings this way.

I've had the exact same problem a few times, but only in the last month or so. Quitting Eve and restarting the client also fixes the problem for me.

This is deserving of a bump. JCs have been buggy since QR, and we have yet to see progress.

I'm just the opposite.. I was having this problem consistently after EA, and have NOT had the problem since QR... they seemed to fix it in QR (at least in my case).

Just encountered this problem today, petitioned it and they got right on it.
It didn't happen the first time I jumped though, jumping to a station without a ship, while in my hurricane. Client froze, I restarted, and arrived in my clone in a pod, with an available rookie ship. No problems the entire time there. Jumping back however I got the module issues mentioned above.

This is a known issue and has been fixed internally. A workaround is to exit your ship before clone jumping.

No, this is NOT fixed.
I just did that, clonejumping with my pod, and I experienced this very same problem again for god knows what time now.
I'm getting seriously fed up with this - and it's beyond me how an error like this is not being addressed at the highest priority level. Constantly having to fight this hassle is nothing short of a f*cking joke.
Yours dissapointedly,

No, this is NOT fixed.
"Fixed internally" means "We have identified and fixed the problem in our code, and as long as it passes testing and doesn't conflict with anything else this fix will be released with the next patch."
Clone jumping in a pod solves the problem for me, but I guess the workaround isn't guaranteed.
