Just a question. I think it has been said somewhere that the devs are trying to steer things away from people being the 'jack-of-all-trades' type and to me, that is all well and good, but as I am in the 14.5M skill point mark and have the majority of skills and all near level 4 to use whatever I want, I can pretty much keep up with any new skill that comes out, grab it, and train it up to level 3 within a day. I was just wondering if there is some sort of plan to put a curb on situations like this? To me, it seems almost too easy train this way. I know if I started this game over again based on what I know now, I could drastically reduce the amount of RL time it took me to train.

Many skills require level five skills in order to begin training them as well as are harder rank, this should increase a need for specialization in skills. I know a lot of these types are scheduled for introduction in Shiva.

As it stands now, clones only go up to 19.2 mil SP's. If they don't put in new clones, podding is going to hurt. A year from now we'll be seeing people with 25-35 mil skill points. If they end up getting nailed, their going to loose allot of SP's.

Won't take that long. You can train about 1.2 to 1.5 mil per month, so seeing that we're now already at 19.2mil, 25mil is breachable within 4 months, 35 mil within 6-7 months. _________________________ Ain't no mountain high enough |

Isn't that a good/cool thing? I can imagine EVE being less exciting when you've reached that amount of SP. That extra risk might end up as a great spice in the EVE-SP-soup. Now, I am a lowlife 1,6 mill SP n0ob so I might not be a great judge on this matter but I can still pitch in.

I would think that with Shiva and all the skills it'll be adding that they'll add clones, or alter the existing ones. If all else fails, there's always empire and the npc corps.

Edited by: anthonieak on 28/07/2004 13:47:55 If you reach the 19,2 Mil is worth too lvl you charater then, because once shot by pirates you losse a lot of skill time, so if they want make EVE interesting for the beta player the clone must go up eventually. I think no one want too start all over again with skilling.
