I'm having a strange problem with my market window that started out of the blue. It's become really slow, whenever I select something to check prices on, the list of sellers will appear first, then 2 seconds later, the list of buyers will appear. But then both lists will disappear and reappear 2 seconds later. It used to be fine with both lists appearing simultaneously only once.
Also when I select something to buy/sell, the price will always lag behind the quantity for 2 seconds. so every time i change the quantity, it takes 2 seconds for the price to update.
It's not a network issue because i have a spare computer with eve installed and its not having this problem. It's definitely something on my computer thats causing the slow down but I can't figure it out.
Anyone had experience with this?

I've seen the same thing. It seems to come and go, and it might be related to which market. Example ---> export 50 market orders in Domain, no problem. Log out/in with alt in The Forge and see what you described. Log out/in with main in Domain, problem gone.
I haven't duplicated this, and I haven't noticed any pattern to it, but I also thought I was the only one, so now I'll pay attention. |

This problem used to come and go for me too. But this time it's consistently there for 3 days straight now, no matter which alt I use or which market/region. |

I found that the market in particular likes to open tons of network connections, and if I'm running anything else network intensive (bit torrent) then the market is really slow.
Another thing that seemed to help was using the torrent half-open connection trick that everyone uses for torrenting (patching tcpip.sys to allow more half-open connections). That seemed to increase market responsiveness on my Vista machine about twofold. |

That's interesting Molly b/c I was trying looking through my event log and found some errors related to something about not being able to open more connections.....I need to examine this some more.

Do you guys have anything in your avoidance list? If you have Jita in there, could you please check if it makes any difference to remove it from the list?

I have an empty avoidence list, but the menu lag is still making trading impossible, it takes too long to export the market data for all the items im interested in. Also sellin items is painfuly slow.

Clear your cache. It does wonders for this, though if you're trading in Jita you'll need to do it at least once a month to keep a reasonably fast market.
