Ok, basically I have talked with CCP in-game for the last few days and they have said that i can take thsi further, I want to see what people think about this: I had one of my members who had the roles setup an alliance for me we paid the 1billion isk and then I was ceo again within 3 minutes, he then left the corp the next week or so, after 1 month was up the alliance was there at 2am and then i logged back in after downtime and my alliance was gone, i made a petition and CCP replied saying that its not there fault its mine i didnt pay a bill, but i didnt get any eve mails saying bill due nor any bills in the corp wallet for it. They then said in a further reply that there system works fine and it sent a mail to the ceo when the alliance was created, this is got to be the most stupid thing ever, an alliance bill is based on the number of corps in the alliance at the end of each month it calculates a bill how can they issue a bill for the next month in the first 1 minute of alliance being existed, the friend didnt mention any mails to me and hes not the type that doesnt, I think that there system is flawed here because it should give a reminder for the bill for alliance to the current ceo of the alliance when the bill should be due at the end of each month, (i mean end of the month from when the alliance started) and also it should send an alliance eve mail saying bill is due and a message to all directors of the corp that owns the alliance which in this case is my corp, but i got no eve mail to me or any of my other director toons, or any mails to alliance, corp or any bills showed up in the wallet. Please can you all reply and give me your thoughts on this matter as I want to see what others think about CCP yet again not willing to reimburse some thing i see as at least partially there fault, if not completely there fault. Thanks in advance for your replies!

Sounds like a case of mixed blame. CCP for apparently having a lame way of billing alliances and you for apparently rushing through the process and missing out on some details.
I'd go on with petitioning and see where it takes you. If everyone in the alliance pitches in, I'm sure you could raise the ISK for another alliance pretty fast, but it shouldn't have to be that way. |

Upon signup, indeed the CEO gets the mail, if then he signs over the position to you after he has gotten the bill mail obviously you would end up without one. Then you fail to paid said bill which is listed under "alliance bills" in your wallet... your fault tbh.
You messed up. And I suggest you check the office/alliance bill tabs regulary, even if you haven't received a mail, that will save you from losing an office or so in the event of you missclicking a mail or whatever.

There is a bill tab for the holding corp called 'alliance bills'. It shows up there. There is a concord mail sent to every ceo in your alliance.
Not paying the bill isn't CCP's fault, it's yours. Trust me. I got over it, you will too...

It is your fault There is an alliance tab, you just didn't see it. The CEO got the mail, your friend got the mail and probably deleted it.

There is no way that i didnt notice it! Im not a frikking idiot i would notice a tab that wasnt there in my wallet.
As one posted all the ceos should get a mail but no 1 did! All the ceos that where in the alliance told me about any thing that came up so a bill mail would not pass them by.
Nor would it me!

So magically a system that works and I can't recall anyone having this sort of problem just broke down? I doubt it, man up and accept that you're out 1 bill.

The only CEO in the alliance at the time of creation would be the creator. This is why none of the current CEOs recieved the first mail.
You missed the wallet tab, get over it. |

While I still think you simply missed it all, here's how it looks for a normal pilot and a CEO. This display looks the same no matter if you're the executor or simply the CEO of a member corp in the alliance (as any CEO can pay the bill).

To my knowledge any member of any corporation in the alliance that has the rights to pay bills can pay the alliance bill as well. I regulary pay my alliance bills from other corporations than the executor corporation. |

There is just one other thing....
Do any of you agree that we should get an eve mail telling us that a bill is due like we do with office rentals, I have never missed a corp office rental bill so if they actually did the same I wouldnt have lost my alliance, I have looked at the picture and that tab wasnt there for me maybe a glitch or some thing but, it was not there on my main and i didnt check it on my alt director, but i am sure it wasnt there, but still no mails is bad! |

Sounds like what happened was that your mate created the alliance and didnt pay the initial bill of 2mil isk. He was sent a mail as he was the CEO and there were no other corps in the alliance at the time of creation, hence why you never got a mail saying it needed to be paid. So when you were made CEO again you didnt see the Alliance Bills tab in your corp wallet and thus the alliance was deleted when you didnt pay the bill in time.
Alliance creation is a pain in the ass really and I think CCP really could do with looking over the whole process and making it more user friendly. |

Yes ok thank you, I think you are right one of my corp mates thought it might be some thing to do with the fact i dont have the skills to setup an alliance thus it wont let me maybe im not sure... but still thanks all for your input, that was my other main point that i wanted ccp to read on here was that the whole alliance thing needs to be more user friendly.
Eve mailing the bills when there due like a reminder is always good CCP!

I agree you should get a reminder a few days before the bill is due. But it is badicly your own fault, you did't check the alliance tab under bills.

I believe just like a normal office this bill can actually be payed one month in advance giving you almost 2 months before you have to pay it again. But more importantly there is 0 reason to wait unlit the due date.
So either the day you create the alliance or the day after the bill will show up and can be payed even though you have almost a month left.

I think you should have a word with your friend as well, tbh. But the he probably thought you would checks the bills tab in time. Or at least stumble over it when playing around.
All in all an expensive lesson learned.
Since this problem only really occures when creating a new alliance over a third person, I don't really see the benefit of another reminder mail. Once the alliance is up and running, this won't happen. |
