This past weekend has been the finest yet for Caldari Militia. Not only did the Pride of the State, our tournament team, win the first ever match by a FW team in the alliance tournament, the entire militia was extremely active throughout FW space, with large fleets and small gangs engaging in nearly non-stop action. Particularly noteworthy was excellent teamwork and coordination by Caldari plexers which resulted in the seizure of six enemy systems, including an unprecedented capture of four systems in a single day.
Well done all Caldari! |

is it so hard to see caldari doing something in the FW, that when you do something you have to bring up the party hats?
well, congratulations anyway _______________________________________________ 10100110010100101010011010100101001100101110101 I will Conquer My Signature Somewhere in the future 10100110010100101010011010100101001100101110101 |

Some people like to have nice killboards. Some people like to capture systems. Some people, and I think most Caldari plexers, like both. Especially PvP in plexes. It would actually be nice to get more opposition in plexes besides FOOM and pirates.
To put what Cosmic said in perspective: before FOOM arrived, capture of Nennamaila was only capture for at least a month. Today our Amarr allies captured Lantorn. This is the first capture in Amarr-Minmatar front after November.
This weekend Caldari militia captured Okagaiken, Korasen, Innia, Hykanima, Sarenemi, Kehjari and Athounon solar systems. Onwards to Old Man Star!

If you think, thats indicating something, youre right. - But not your uber abilities, sorry dude. - It indicates not even a major lag, it was a total desynct. And dont tell a '03 Toon something about graphical display settings. - But you know, what Im talking about. Both sides set presssure on ccp to fix that mess. Just for info : I do have a battle ratio of 73% and an efficiency of 90%, go for my stats on the KBs, np. But congrats, that you showed some balls. It could have been a real good fight, shame on ccp. Well, I dont wanne hijack this, but this needed an answer. - Excellent job of our plexers ! Congrats.

LOL - We're talking internet spaceships here, man! I'd guess plexing matters no less than mining pretend ore or pirating pretend spaceships or claiming sovereignty over systems of pretend space. The great thing about EVE is each player can decide what's fun for himself, and go do that.

You are speaking to an 03 player, just not on this char. And I shouldnt have to remind you everyone was affected by desynch, while we jumped into your drone out fleet on the gate. Which btw if you know anything means you had the upper hand from the word go even with a 7 man smaller fleet.
Your kb stats mean nothing on here. Nor does your hock about us having balls to bring it. Every fight except one ive been involved in, Gallente won and held the field.
Congratulations on your plexing tho. |

I'm glad to have been part of this historic weekend! From what I heard Friday was the first time more than one system has fallen in a day? It was some great teamwork from the Caldari corps, I would like to thank all those guys who plex's those systems to hell before the flips.
@Sky Grunthor, I heard the cometary on your match, it sounded insane! I'm looking forward to watching the video and would love to see a Caldari FW vs. Gallente FW final! we can settle this fight in front of the entire world =) |

Not to burst your bubble but FOOM hit the multi-flip record first. We've done that 2 times I believe. I don't remember whether it was 2 or 3 systems but the first go around in Black Rise saw that record broken and the second stint we did it again to much less fanfare. This was done despite our natural handicap of not having good coverage on the post downtime plex spawns.
You have yet to meet the constellation record or even the total number of enemy systems flipped just to throw out some perspective.

Oh yes. Grats to Gallente Militia for their flawless annihilation victory in the tournament. While enemies, you are also fighting for the honor of FW community.
FOOMs second arrival and their initial great success changed the nature and pace of plexing. And it turned Caldari militias plexing organization into a monster. No such change appears to have taken place in the Gallente milita (without FOOM). If anything, their plexing ability has decreased. Gone are the days when Gallente ruled in Nennamaila and Val Erian, SideControl, Plumbumber and other brave enemies terrorized Black Rise and Placid. What would happen if FOOM departs? What should we do when all FW systems are captured, all Gallente wines and exotic dancers appropriated?

LOLz at you. We have been bringing the fight to your border systems for the last two months. All the Gallente have done is thrown bored pvp fleets at us. Sometimes we kick you out sometimes it doesn't work so well. But sustained plexing pressure is something the Gallentes are sorely lacking.I like to thank foom for lighting a fire under our collective asses. Now the Caldari will use its superior numbers to out plex in some cases out fight the Gallente. |

With all due respect:
- You captured systems we abandoned, in the rearmost, unchallenged part of your space. I commend you for your speedy recovery of them, but there was no military threat involved. When FOOM initiated its transition to Aeschee, all those systems were entirely uncontested. You did not capture them under any threat whatsoever. It is admirable, though, to have taken four in one day. And as an aside, hey CCP - did you notice how many of them were within the very specific timeframe I pointed out in my analysis as the only time that really matters in Facwar?...because all but one of them were. There have now been only three captures in all of Facwar outside the "hot zone" timewise.
- Multiple system captures in the same day first occurred in the Black Rise constellation of Ishaga, by pilots of FOOM. I believe the systems were Immuri and Hallanen, though I may be wrong there. Both of those systems, by the way, were taken under challenge and with competition, unlike the Urpiken constellation recaptures. Four unchallenged or two challenged? I'd prefer the lower number with more entertainment, but you can tally your own scorecard as you like.
- You were the first team to win in the tourney because you were the first team to play. I do salute you all for winning, though, as the militias deserve far more respect than they get. I would also point out that the only "TotalHellDeath" in the tourney so far by a militia team remains a Gallente accomplishment.
- I am very glad to see that FOOM's presence has galvanized an aggressive, constant plexing effort from the Caldari. I actually find myself wondering if it would be much harder to flip an entire constellation again if we decided to do so - you all have stepped up your game considerably. As for the Gallente plexing group's woeful inadequacies, I will be putting forth a suggestion to them in the near future. I strongly suspect it will be ignored, but FOOM is only one part of GalMil, and we are already looking towards another objective.
- You may very well find out what life would be like with the Gallente milita sans-FOOM. We are, after all, returned to the militia solely because it entertains us at the moment. Other forms of entertainment, though, are beckoning. We may wander off and come back again at some point, who knows.
- In all seriousness, though, the Caldari do deserve one very genuine note of respect: They're adapting, responding, and stepping up their game an awful lot more than any other militia, and THAT is the hallmark of excellenge, and it is to be commended.
Respect to the Squiddies.

I will be looking forward to your return to FW soon though, I have only engaged you guys twice I believe and both times lost! It is all for fun. Remember, internet space ships and all that.
The Squid militia is really adapting quite well in their realization that plexing and PVP are one in the same thing most times. It is unfortunate that most other militias (including my own Gallente) it seams to really not sink in. The squids are also doing real well in that they have become to the point where there are few corps that are really ôprimeö corps in faction war û pervs and 22Ænd among them that are organizing a large percentage of the war effort. When you have multiple ôspear pointsö that can show the way, the way gets to be much easier for those who follow as well. Gallente pilots are not, for the most part, in organizations larger than individuals that just go out and do their thing, something that will lead to their downfall, despite I would say their superiority in individual PVP.
One of the biggest things I am seeing here is the inherent failings of the faction war mechanics. The time frame systems become vulnerable is an obvious showing of these mechanics and how those who are heavy Euro based can exploit them. I seriously do hope that CCP takes a look at the constructive criticism and does balance out the system as they originally indicated they would (just before it was released).
As Fried said, FOOM is likely to leave Faction War again at some point, probably sooner rather than later. We are a semi fickle lot, we like to change things up every so often. The way things are going now, I fully expect once FOOM leaves FW again, within a month or two only a few Gallente systems will remain in their hands unless they seriously step up.
