CCP has made a wonderful sandbox to play in. In this sandbox we can build the castle of our choice. We can have tall ones, short ones, strong ones, weak ones, and super cool ones.. They have given us the tools and it is up to us.. But some of us have made some unique ones and everybody else is jealous. So we should have CCP knock all the castles down, because we (as players) are too lazy to figure how to build better ones on our own. So lets nerf the sandbox. Make all the castles the same. What a boring sandbox it will be.
Recommendation: CCP dont do anything. Let the jealous ones go play in someones elses sandbox. This sandbox is for Big Kids... not Cry Babies.

Nerfing stuff for forum posters has broken so many things and has taken away so much fun. I don't have to give examples, everybody knows I guess. |

I have only been reading the forums regularly for a few months, but if forum whiners are the reason that my Myrmi can only launch 3 heavies, then **** you all.
Nano didn't need to be nerfed either, although the AF/smaller ships/scrams (gallente recons) getting a boost was cool.
Falcons are really irritating and they are overpowered in my opinion...but knowing CCP, they will overdo it and make ECM useless (I would be fine with them reducing optimal as the only fix, but I'm sure they wouldn't stop at that)...I'd rather deal with the devil I know than one I'm sure will suck.

A little bit of balancing here and there maybe, but the regular nerfing is getting on my nerves slowly.
Part of the problem is that guides become out of date and experts never really develop.
I'd rather have a more stable environment to play in.

Need pre-nerf dampener fitted, warp-stabbed, dual MWD Ravens w/ cruise missiles that always hit for full damage. That'll fix all those idiots who think CCP should try to "balance" things tbh.

The nerfing lately has been taking on epic proportions.
The only thing that can restore my confidence in CCP is if they admit that the nerfs of Quantum Rise patch were a mistake, and actually undo them.
I like this game, but CCP seems to be more of an enemy than a friend. I'm on damage control 90% of the time, trying to minimize the damage they do with each next patch.

Just because there exist a few cases where nerfs are needed, doesn't mean that every nerf is needed.
You can not justify a series of bad nerfs by pointing out special cases where it was good.

Dude I know you guys are scared of logic, but incase you didn't notice OP wanted NO more nerfs, therefore in order to dissprove him only one valid nerf is required, a fine example enough to end thread. We all know falcons are over powered, it just a matter of whether or not you have enough alts to warrant defending them on the forums.
This game would get very boring if ships wern't getting nerfed, in 6 months we would all have skills for scorch geddons and alts would be maxed with falcon. The underlying threat of ner***e means people have to think before they train.

It used to be tweaks on how specific modules worked. Now its changing the entire game scape and dynamics of the environment and tools/tactic available to suit the lowest common denominator.
ninja edit: and on the subject of falcons, they apparently have been nerfed, along with the rest of the ewar. No longer does it let you know if someone is currently jammed/damped/painted/tracking disrupted, its just blinks "done" and thats it. eWar pilots now fly blind. |

Personally, I think nerfing has done EVE more good than harm. Was the game better off with Myrms using 5 heavies and nano being pretty much the only way to roam? I'm having so much fun now in QR with frigates and cruisers being prevelant everywhere. Battleships are still fearsome, I just don't see them roaming as much and the advantage of flying T2 cruisers like HACs and suchlike now comes at a fair price since they're no longer invulnerable.
Only a few things bother me now,
- Falcons dominating small gang engagements, it's the counter of everything and it's amazing just how many people have trained caldari cruiser V for it.
- Too few people in belts in lowsec, up the value of the minerals and improve the loot and bounties on the rats there. When you can catch a pirate belt-ratting on a frequent basis that's when it's good enough.
- UI things like logout to character selection, being able to use the left-click menu in the overview aswell and self-updating options when selecting items in the map (such as 'warp to' etc).

Battleships suck outside of PvE unless supported by a Falcon and/or someone else to Web/Target paint the target.
I tackled a Hyperion with a Rifter FFS... held him there while his Ogre II's tried to hit me, but couldn't.. and then helped him kill a falcon that came too close when I finally got bored with holding him there after 10-15 minutes. ------------

Wow... so you held a BS that was obviously not fitted to hold you. (ogre 2's ffs?) How suprising he couldn't hit you. Remind me of what this is supposed to prove? Go take your frig against a bs mounting the good tracking large guns, a heavy neut, or maybe dual web's, or maybe... gosh... warrior 2's. Then tell us how little use a BS is. |

Like Tom Peeping pointed out your argument is seriously flawed. BS have good means to deal with tacklers, light drones (even medium drones still hurt tacklers, especially the AB ones) and neuts being the better ones.
BS can often fit ECCM's without gimpage, reaching 40+ sensor strengths. They're great in gangs, especially when remote repair-fitted and some can be extremely versatile and effectively engage over various ranges. BS can still operate for solo work, the downside being that they're slow and naturally hard to tackle with making them less ideal for hunting. No other ship type can really perform as well when outnumbered though.

Says the person with the biggest sand castle. I've had my casle leveled three times - yours should be next. Or CCP restores my castle. Either way is cool with me.

QR was rushed out, it wasn't even close to ready. It's broken many ships.
But CCP has moved on, feeling pleased with themselves, they will take months if not years to get fixed.
Remember the Boost patch?

Agreed. Whining leads to the next object of whining. Balancing is ok but I think CCP will point it out without any forum experts who instantly hit the forums button after getting popped and post "fix *insert*anything*working*here".

agreed, i propose instead of nerfing the falcon, doubling the sensor strength on all ships now i would like the nerf bat to be swung with less force but swing where necessary. |

Hwo long have you been around? Over the years CCP made huge changes to entire shipclasses and weaponary systems. Like 2004, the end of the BS being always on top of the foodchain... or 2 years later the end of Ravens being on top of the foodchain. Also the introduction of T2 ship classes had huge impact on the game, as well as the whole POS sovereign crap. The dynamics are changing constandly. That makes it fun.
btw: Your ewar "nerf" ain't one. It's a displaybug. |
