Just wondering if any Eve players have collections of any sort. Any kind at all, be it models, figures, comics, books (rare or otherwise), paraphernalia, sports memorabilia, china, butterflies, coins, stamps, notches on bedposts, trading cards, etc. What do you collect? What is the pride of your collection? Anything missing that you really want/need to be the centerpiece? What's the most bizarre thing you have? Did you break/lose something years ago you miss terribly? Have you stopped collecting or sold your collection? What's the rarest/most valuable item in your collection? -------------

I collect dice also 4 sided through 100 sideded and a set of rigged crap dice.
EDIT: Not a serious one either, mostly spontaneous purchases. I find it hard to take it seriously.

Pfft lightweight! I collect all coins I find with pictures on! I have rules though, I only collect coins that I find by chance, I don't order them specially or ask for them in shops or banks. Finding them in other peoples' wallets/purses is fine though!
Okay, I admit, I pay them back for the coins.
I nearly had a disaster a while back, my parents were looking for some change to give someone and raided my moneybox. Luckily my brother noticed that they were special coins, else I would have lost the lot... |

Manta Force was the ****, it was so cheap - haha.
As for my collections - Reason ReFills I guess, Got hundreds of the damn things. I really don't want to spend any amount of time working out how much money I've spent on them.
Used to collect Airsoft guns till the UK decided to just slap a ban on them and make collectors play the game, to obtain a license, to just.. buy guns to play with.

Actually you simply need to prove that you are willing to play the game, not that you ever had. Simply buy yourself a paintball mask and hang it up next to your airsoft guns, and that's you covered by UK law. |

Unfortunatly not, the UKARA system means that if I want to buy say... the New Tokyo Marui M4 (with Recoiling action!) I have to have physically played the game 3 times in no less than 2 months. Once i've done that, I can become registered on UKARA, receive an ID card and be licensed to buy what are essentially fancy Japanese toys.

So set up a few games with your mates using your less expensive 'toys', and satisfy the nubs in parliament?
I mean come on, 3 games in 2 months - I'd love to be able to even play ONE in two months... ---

The 3 games must be played on UKARA Registered Sites.
Basically, a lot of red tape about toy guns - when they could have just done like the US, and made it a requirement by law to put an orange blaze on the end of the gun.
Instead they go the complicated way and set up entire licensing processes just because they can't see clearly.
The ******ed part is - they still sell the cheap guns with bright paint jobs. There was a secondary requirement that any gun not bought with a UKARA license must be colored with at least 70% of a government approved lurid paint. (Lime green usually)
But then - the people using replicas to commit crimes weren't spending the ú750+ some people do for high end, high performance replicas.. they were dropping a fiver at the local market for a cheap spring pistol.
So now they can buy cheap, chinese AEGs.. and just spraypaint those black and continue as they were before the ban.
Basically - it does nothing.
In short - VCRA Bill fails. As soon as the bill came out, knife crime shot up... What would you rather have. People getting threatened with fake guns.. or getting stabbed/bricked.

When did the ban on airsoft guns come out? I have no licence and have recently bought several.
I was lead to believe that they were fine if they had that red cap on the end? and that can be easily removed. |

It is if you live in the US. In the UK, you have to be registered.
I bought mine as I was actually going to be using them on airsoft sites. Still doesn't make UKARA and VCRA any less useless.
