"GoonSwarm will Hold out"
The pessimists in GoonSwarm who defended R2TJ-1 returned as optimists.
In a defensive battle raging a few hours, a GBC push into the vital Omist region was blunted, then driven back by the very same swarm tactics that gave the infamous fleet its name. In a mission recalling all the former splendor of past Goon glory, the defenders fought with their hearts and won with their minds. A crushing Doomsday signalled Goon victory as GBC forces cleared the field. Initial sketchy reports indicated "100-200 GBC losses" to Goon casualties a mere fraction of that.
What can GoonSwarm do?
Long ago they made that decision: keep on fighting. In spite of the tremendous territorial losses sustained since the start of the invasion , fierce resistance has kept GoonSwarm hopes raised and sent GBC commanders scrambling for answers. How could the all but vanqished GoonFleet still be capable of organized resistance, let alone strategic victory? The lack of a communique from GBC Headquarters was all too telling of its own shock on the matter, joining the rest of Eve in silenced awe. Perhaps the only ones in the galaxy not silenced by the results of the battle were the Goons themselves, who have consistently held to their conviction of their own supremacy and assured victory in the great war.
Although probably not yet enough to stem the GBC tide, the defensive brilliance at R2TJ-1 proved that the GoonFleet is still capable of fast, admirably executed fleet warfare.

This is a good victory! May you fight long and defeat these evil doers. New Eden will be a much better place with them destroyed!

For one, this isn't COAD so please, take it elsewhere.
Two, I have yet to see GS take back any of its former territories nor take any territory from those who attack them. Nor have I seen them destroy any Titan-class ships since the Hurley incident. GS will claim victory in defeat and at this time, your losing. Territories are falling, your allies are your only defense and yet you seem to think you'll hold out.
*pauses a moment*
Excuse my pessimism but how can you think your going to win? You won this battle, which is quite plausible with any war but your losing the war and declaring you'll "hold out".
I think you need to redefine "winning" and "losing" a bit.
*screen flickers away*
