You could up the resolution, like you say, and speed up the fights. Props for using the moros solo but it's destruction was inevitable with angry carebares on the other side of your guns.

Yes this is harsh.
Glamur is not an idiot. Yes, eventually using a Dread for piracy will get you killed especially if its in range of CVA - but Skywalker made the same mistake.
(Strangely I was in the gang that killed both of them) http://img134.imageshack.us/my.php?image=skywalkerir8.jpg
Glamur has been using the Dread in Kheram for a while now. However he doesn't just warp to gates randomly. He has scouts in all the surrounding systems and has been pirating in that area for well over a year - so has a good idea of when and when not to engage.
Several times CVA has planned to catch him but Glamur was saved by some 'sixth sense' or by the fact that whenever he was reported on gate other 'Citadel' neutrals would grab their pitchforks and charge up to Kheram in a disorganised mob to grab a Moros kill - giving him plenty of time to get safe and spoiling our own plans for a more coordinated strike.
In this case we happened to have a RR gang in the vicinity which happened to be chasing some other pirates. As we knew Glamur had scouts in surrounding systems we kept gang two jumps away. As we had been planning to kill him for a while we already had a cloaked tackler in system and a carrier on standby to rep the tackler whilst the conventional fleet rushed to scene.
Then we had to wait for Glanur to leave the station and we had no guarantee that he would do that. Anyway some neutral hauler started moving up the pipe and it was obviously to juicy to resist (especially as Glamur saw no enemies in vicinity).
So anyway if you want to criticise Glamur's movie making that's fine by me - but don't just call him an idiot for losing a Moros. He knew the risk when using it and got many kills in the process before it died. While Glamur is our enemy and we shoot him and his friends regularly he is also ballsy and persistent - qualities which many pirates lack these days...

Skywalker suicided it. He had a few days left on insurance, so he removed the officer webb and warp disruptor, left it just t2, and then proceeded to lay the smack on a fleet who was passing by - it's in his movie. :)

Hardin, about the kill of Skywalker's Naglfar. That kill is probably from the time Skywalker thougt that you couldn't dock when you had the dread in Siege mode.
So if he had known that, he would save the Naglfar.

Edited by: 2Bad4Ux2 on 10/02/2009 01:21:59 boo hoo it's harsh.. it's public forums. I know he has scouts obviously because he wouldn't last one day doing that without intel. He only warped to gates to kill solo defenseless people.. and he only engaged nearly solo defenseless people. No fraps footage in teh movie was remotely good or entertaining, and leading people to believe it will be nearly the same as an entertaining, sieged dread anything can happen vid for 10 mins, with pretty explosions, t2 weapons of sorts (drones) multiple fights vs 4-6 bs, and a sieged battle at teh end of it's life, is deceiving to waste peoples bandwidths to download what has been the worst movie i've seen in 3 months , barring the "watch my friend warp to gate with smartbombs and not kill anything movie". People's movies get criticized for "lack of risk" being too ganky, falcon footage and fights etc, and unsieged dread at undock point with scouts all around and t1 drones, is lame, same as when mine or any other movies get criticized for containing any remote amount of falcon jamming etc.
If the entire public says 'Great job" he'll never make a decent movie. You few criticizing my opinion of the vid... only leads to more "how ungood" it was detail to explain my original post and opinion. If there was good points to highlight I would have, as I do with any negative criticisms. However, speed, music, res, fights, ganks, fittings, skills such as aligning etc.. none were present and hence I couldn't leave the remotest bit of positives on the film.
2bad the mean mean tyrant @ hardin-- i never called him an idiot. you quoted my post, you should know that and train reading comprehension to level 1. The fact of matter is he didn't have skills to pilot the ship, if you can't use any t2 drones or siege module you shouln't be in a moros. Stating this which I'd say nearly any non-idiot pvp'r may agree with doesn't mean i'm calling someone else an idiot. So I guess with positive feedback you list everything great and spectacular and praise people, and with negative feedback you just sugar coat it and hold it all back so maybe he won't hide in the corner? So resume flaming! ------- WB2A!(new) OOF! W2A! How Cruel

I have all skillz for that ship except t2 drone (but damn t1 with moros bonuses nice). i just dont fit the sige bcos for my play style i dont need it -_- the cap rr better for repearing drones under sentry gunz. I didnt say "you see in the movie alot of fair fight vs many bs etc" i say its all about damn gank -)and witout sige moros can kill much more than in siege. |

No actually you need to get out more, I left my opinion you chose to analyze it and flame it, and Infer stuff that I wasn't implying, as I would've just come out and say it in the first place if that was the case. (run-on don't care much)
And no you cannot kill more in a moros with it out of siege... does that 60 m/s let you chase down all the targets or soemthing at light speed? Obviously you can't take negative feedback, or handle it well, Maybe you should go hide in the corner- bring Hardin with you since you both seem to be idiots now. |

Edited by: Niding on 11/02/2009 11:11:07 Nice to see Glamurs perspective
Would be great if you can increase the resolution in the next movie, as you mentioned yourself.
As for the piloting of the dread;
Entering siege at a gate in a low sec area filled to the roof with Anti pirates is certain death for sure because he cant align/warp out. And he would be stuck there until the Siege module timer is expired. By then he would have the whole of Citadel (local citizens) ontop of his Moros with absolutely no hope of getting out. So siege module is a waste in the area he operates (Espesially solo).
As for the t2 or t1 drones, well he mentioned the reason for that himself. Additionally the Moros got nice drone bonuses, and they (the drones) will get targetted by sentries and semi frequently popped so dropping SOME dps makes sense from a isk vs reward point of view.
As for engaging huge amounts of ships around gates.
Again, that would mean he would be tackled long enough for the locals to swarm him. Around station that would probarly work as he can deagress and dock.
That said, most of the locals are aware of Glamur and wont engage unless they got a gang capable of killing him
I suspect those he killed are people passing thru thats unfamiliar with the area etc, or people having a drunken weekend and flying around in a suicidal mood

The vid is probably interesting to people involved but can hardly call it entertaining to watch, especially compared to some of the more impressive stuff on this forum. Seeing people get so worked up over it is amusing though.

never flown a dread crew checkin in
it's not about being able to move. ion moros has the best tracking out of siege of any dread for one thing, and for another if you siege a solo dread on a gate how long exactly do you think you are going to own that dread? -+- let's break out the shotguns, we're going to town
