…and I still say "meh." Until we get T3 versions of what's already in the game (papa needs SPRIII for Drake overtanking!!), you can still just look at the icon and see that it's not what you're looking for.
Also, the "spree" assumes that people can't read, so again "meh." |

Originally by: Steve Celeste Seriously CCP, if you don't change the color for T3, the scamming will be monumental.
How?
Will it be any more monumental than for faction/deadspace/officer loot? (i.e. not very) Will it even be possible? (i.e. will the T3 icons even resemble any T2 ships?) |

Originally by: Phyridean I just noticed that on sisi, even tech 2 modules now have the tech 3 corner icon (or at least my tech 2 heavy pulses and beams did). Yay for making life easier on scammers!
I'll keep asking this…
How will it make their life easier? At worst, it will be the same as now: using T1 stuff to trick the blind into thinking they're buying faction stuff… so no difference from the current situation. At best, it won't be scammable sine there's nothing to indicate that the T3 stuff will even have the same icons (especially since we're only talking about ships and ship componenst so far). So still no real difference — just some new stuff that you'd have to be really really blind to be scammed on. |

Quoted for truth. When it goes live and you can't tell the difference between roman numeral 2 and 3, then you deserve to be scammed.
It's not so much a matter of being able to tell the difference between II and III, as telling the difference between something that only exists as a T3 ship/component and something that looks like your standard ship or module. |
