Why would I play Eve-Online? How does this benefit my existence?
To me it seems like a time sink-hole with mediocre enjoyment opportunity.

Replace "Eve-Online" with "MMORPG". You might be in the wrong genre hon.

yep, until you kill and steal someone else's belongings while your adrenaline levels start to raise so much that your heart seems to be wanting to take a walk without the rest of your body, try pirating for a while, if you dont crave for more in a while then go play hello kitty online, it's somewhere in the intertubes

Feel free to turn over your stuff to my character. It would really benefit my existence. And I find pleasure in seeing others without one.

And to decide which kittens live or die. Don't forget that part.
The OP is obviously a kitten hater. Bastard.

Looks like mediocre joy is the best joy you can get or you would do what'd give you the greater joy. At least EVE let's you forget your insignificance for a while.

I guess the real question would be why do you play it and continue to pay your sub as you can't post with an inactive account. Also the lack of "!" means you didn't just recently start playing then got podded and are now crying over your loss. Or is it?

No using logic.
It is unfair to the others, and it quite possibly leads to a puppy being killed by god.

Be honest for a minute. If you spend 8 hours a day investing your focus into a business - by the end of 5 years, you can have a Mercedez, a mansion, and a hot spouse.
If you invest the same amount of time and energy into Eve Online, after five years, you will most likely have an obesity problem, a pile of debt, you will still live at home with your parents, and a terrible case of acne to top it all off.

Unless you find a rather nice exploit to use and then sell the isk for cash.
So in essence, EVE is less work and has the potential of making you 100k+. You'd be stupid to waste your time on RL business.

Honestly all games are a time sink.
Whether you find enjoyment or not is the question. If you aren't finding enjoyment in EVE perhaps its time to move on to something else. Might give it til after the next expansion.
Thoughts expressed are mine and mine alone. They do not necessarily reflect my alliances thoughts.

Nessasary tbh. The developed world is quickly running out of productive things for the teeming masses to do to keep them busy and distracted so they pacify them with entertainment. Besides tv and the intarwebz are just another alien plot to take over the world. Rather like eve.

all video games are time sinks. eve is the most stimulating one to me personally. also, there isnt a better MMO out there, and it doesnt look like there ever will be.

Stop being a carebear and you will enjoy the game more.

If being a carebear means I'd prefer not having to rebuild my identical ship for the unknownth time because I get ganked (that is a fight I could never possibly win) I'd prefer being one.
