With CCP putting the next expansion patch onto Sisi (test Server) has any one seen the pre res skills required for reverse engineering if so can u please put a list here or even better a screen shot

I forgot to check the prereqs for it last time I was on, and of course Sisi is down right now. I do know I have the prereqs for it since I have it trained... I'm sure someone remembers, or will check once Sisi comes back online.

Science 5, Metallurgy 4, Research 4.
In other words, any half-decent researcher/industrialist already has the prereqs.

Is it the same reverse engineering skill that has been in the database since pre-invention? It sounds like they just updated its prereqs and made it active.

The idea of reverse engineering (to create blueprint copies by reverse engineering their item counterparts) was never implemented and replaced by invention.
Since we have invention, there is no need for reverse engineering.
The skill is just leftover database clutter.

I know that.. I was just asking if they cleaned up some of the clutter by taking the existing (albeit aborted) skill and making it active.

Dunno, just had a look on sisi, and it appears there are several non public skills availlable.
DED Connections
Genetic Engineering
Gunnery Interfaces
Reverse Engineering
Will be interesting to see if they remain availlable on TQ when the expansion hits:)

its mentioned in the intesting section on the dev area that reverse eng is required for the T3 construction. which u can find in this thread http://myeve.eve-online.com/updates/intesting.asp

Genetic Engineering was available at character creation a while back, I have it.
That's why I have 50 Science Skills, afaik more than anybody else in game right now.
