I'm gonna finish Electronics lvl 5 in a few days and I was wondering what to start training next. Two possibilities that stick out are Indy lvl 5, and the Deep Core Mining path. can anyone tell me which would serve me best out in deep space? (I'm thinking it's indy 5, but I have to ask) _______________________________________________ Don't look at me like that, you knew I was posion when you picked me up! |

Its miss named. It shoudln't be called 'Deep Core Mining', but 'Flangy Asteroid That's Almost Impossible To Find'. I spent 3 months training up to it to find out it doesnt deep mine any asteroid already out there, but allows you to mine a special asteroid called Mercoxite. If you'r really that desperate for Morphite minerals, I hear you could just mine arkanor without the skill or any damaging gas cloud for it. If this is the case, I'm not ammused.

Yesterday I just finished my "Deep Core Mining Analysis". Don't train it yet unless you have nothing else useful for training. Here is whole "report": http://www.eve-i.com/forum/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=prof2&Number=126213&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1

Almost all of the mercoxite on market came from arkanor. They kicked morphite from arkanor a few patches back. This stuff will slowly rise on the market since its a T2 must
But right now, you can use the DCM lasers more efficiently as paper weight ----------------------------

Hehe big waste of time. Mining Ark is 4x (bist/crok is 3x) as lucrative as merx factoring in use of harvies (no drones for mercoxite) and hauling (10,000 m3 for 1 stinky Merx refine).
PLUS. Use of morphite is probably 1000/day galaxy wide. There are a number of power miners out there that have stockpiles of it up to 100,000 each. They will keep the market supplied for 4-6 months unless there is a dramatic increase in morphite demand.
THATS THE REAL DEAL.

Checked Eve-i object explorer found deep core miner 2 base extraction 120m3 twice a miner2 however (and i hope its a miss-print) it states it require 1500 cpu and can't find a ship with that much cpu "Requested items: One Mark V ECM unit, 1000 km of fullerene cable, one low yield nuclear warhead. Stated purpose: birthday party for Amarian dignitary." -Special Operations Service requisition form- |

Check out the elite mining frigates, or to be more precise the bonus those ships have. ----- Sable's Ammo Shop at Alentene 5, Moon 4, Duvolle Laboratories Factory. Ammo at affordable prices. |

i think POS will need plenty of morphite to build. Hopefully that'll increase the price of it.

Don't know if it's been yanked yet but i was getting Morph in small amounts from DarkO which surprised me as i have no DCM skill. By the time i'd finished doing DarkO i had enough Morph to keep me going through likely T2 production runs.
Whilst i'm at it, a question for deep 0.0 miners as i don't get out there nowadays, is Spodumain still about
