3. Ship invention with decryptors - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Recently I invented a ship with the -1 me (overall), 1 run decryptor, and a max run (15 runs, battlecruiser) bpc. The resulting t2 bpc was a 1 run bpc. I was expecting a 2 run bpc. Did I do something wrong?

7. T2 Ship Invention and Profit - in Science and Industry [original thread]
The answer has nothing to do with building your own components from perfect bpcs, or buying components from buy orders. Those things may be profitable, but those are different areas of interest. Ultimately, you have to do the math to determine wh...

10. Rapier production - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Thats right, I'm using the 1 run, -1me decryptor. The invention cost is an approximation (as you can never guarantee a success rate) based on the chance modifier from the bpc, the chance modifier from the decryptor, and max skills.

I agree with that assessment, and add that collision measurements, while best, is still a -6% margin. In other words, don't invent ishtars at the moment. Ship: Ishtar Quantity: 1 Required Materials Construction Blocks(120 @ 6799 isk) Crystalline...

http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/invention_chance.php Decryptors affect both ME and runs. Typically people use decryptors for ships, and do not use them for mods, although there are exceptions.
