if you want to get faction up quickly, just get up to level 3 missions and blitz them. Level 3's give very good faction reward vs the time you spend doing them. The big key is to get multiple storyline missions as they give the best faction reward...

425's are better for killing bs / bc at range. 350's are better closer up when things start to actually need tracking to hit. As and example once cruisers / frigates are in close, if I've run out of ranged targets. I don't even waste the ammo sh...

the 425's track worse , hit harder , further out, are harder to fit. the 350's are the mid range large hybrid , the track better ( by .002 rad ) , hit less hard , less far out, are alot easier to fit allowing for damage mods. I personally use 42...
