My gf would be a typhoon, but not the nanophoons that you see everywhere. Versatile, requires high skills to pilot effectively, but performs superbly when fitted right. For looks: Bhaalgorn because it is red and has curves (she's a redhair).

iirc, heavy assaults do 25% more dps than normal heavy missiles; javelin assaults do somewhere around 6% more dps than normal heavy missiles. Of course the heavy assault missiles get no precision bonuses and they are slower than normal heavies.
