Trit Is very expensive atm and with the current economy, the rising amount of players, and caps/ship losses it is getting more expensive. It is time to introduce a T3 vessel that only has a bonus on veldspar (example +25% yield). It is able to fit 4 T2 stripminers but without other bonusses its hardly any better when mining other ores.

Agree
I agree, oh wait what? But tbh, Capital Mining Lasers > T3 < Yield >= Style * 2 / Scordite^Refine - Tax => Rubin Basic Particle Bore Stream <= win.

Until CCP thinks a tier 3 mining barge is needed we'll just have to make do with the hulk. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to fly into a star now.

I've always wondered if you'd bounce off it or if there is nothing actually collidable there. I've tried a few times, but always gotten bored less than 1% of the way there.

Wait... Let me get this straight:
Because currently players can make most money mining Veldspar, there is a need for a ship with which they can make even more?
That makes absolutely no sense. In fact, it makes so little sense, it hurts.
Apart from that, what does this have to do with Tech 3 ships? Have you even looked at the Tech 3 ships? How they work and what they do? Does anything about them say "Bolly! What a nifty mining boat this would be!"? Last time I checked they were all like... cruisers. Cruisers that can be adapted easily to a variety of situations. 'Barge mining' was not exactly among the first things that came to my mind there.

I would like to see a capital mining ship for low/nullsec only. But definitely not anything to boost the highsec veldspar mining.

I agree with OP as long as the miner loses skill points every time an asteroid pops.

Edited by: Mike C on 25/03/2009 19:31:43 Maybe add T3 veldspar (AND ONLY VELDSPAR) mining crystals with a significantly higher yield factor?
EDIT:
Oh and since there are modulated mining lasers, chribba could use them on the Veld-Tar :D __________________________________________________

Enough you bunch of veldtards! Never should there ever be a t3 veld miner it's just not needed. Besides, it would either have to have a massive cargo bay or always have an attendant fleet of canflippers buzzing around it.

emmm... NOOOOOOOOO !!!!. pay up for your caps or stop flying them (as if they don't do enough to destroy the 0.0 fun :P )
if anything need a lookover it is T2 production which is still idiotic, it cost around up too 100 times more then it's insurance pays out, somethings wrong ___________________________________________ Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward.
