My new room-mate seemed like a pretty cool guy, woke up when I did, logged on to EVE while I was at work, and continued to play after I got home until I had to hit the sack. Ran a full team of 8 miners with Orca support. Never complained about rent, always paid on time, and bought and shared pizza almost every evening. What a great deal, I naturally assumed he was some kind of financially independent gaming addict, my cat even liked him. But there is ALWAYS a darker side...
So yeah turns out my new roommate is actually married to some woman 300 miles away. Furthermore, she listed him as a missing person shortly after he cash advanced his credit cards and moved down to Florida to get away from it all. Turns out he has two kids and a soon to be ex-wife. My first hint thing were going badly where the two police cars who trapped the pizza guy in my driveway. The sheriff had me file a police report, and apparently he is destined for home. So the next time you delve into a asteroid belt, look around, because someone may be looking for one of your fellow miners!
One thing still troubles me however, do I get to keep the security deposit? |

Tom's been clear in previous threads that he lives in a one room apartment with one bed.

I see a crack in this story. No roommate in the history of roommates has ever consistently shared pizza. |

Pretty sure that is the same thing. Married with children and dead.
I can confirm this as I asked Al Bundy and he said yes he is dead now that he is Married with Children. |

My question is...what law did he bread to cause the police to come after him? Leaving your wife and kids isn't exactly illegal. Neither is cash advancing your credit cards...even if he isn't paying them and they are all in her name. If she reported him as a missing person...well...that's her problem, not his.
Doesn't mean he isn't an ass for leaving his kids. Police can't force him to go home though. All they can do is find him and tell him he needs to file a divorce and pay child support. EvE is not about PvP.-á EvE is about the SANDBOX! - CCP!-á Open the door!!! |
