Currently there are 2 down load packs.
One that can be ran in the back ground that installs the game to your games column on the PSN interface ( about 1600+ MB) and a
1605 MB update that cannot be down loaded in the back ground.
Is this normal?
I will be updating the post as the updates come out.

It's normal. I'm sure sooner or later CCP will roll the patch into the original client, but for now it comes in two parts like that. http://www.dust514.org - the unofficial forum for everything DUST 514 http://www.dust514base.com - the blog site with everything else DUST 514 you need

PSN only ever has version 1.0 on the store. Unfortunately, that means that new players may need to download all the updates sequentially to get the latest. |

One advantage with Dust being free though, is you can release the 'expansions' as new games. No need to worry about cutting off people's access. FuzzWork Enterprises http://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/ Blueprint calculator, invention chance calculator, isk/m3 Ore chart-á and other 'useful' utilities. |

More likely they will have a DT after which everyone has to DL a new patch, can't really work any other way, since EVE and (likely DUST as well) expansions usually have huge amount of game engine and graphical improvements as well.

Seriously this isn't exactly impressive! I've just registered for the Mordu Trials, downloaded the 1.5gb file, installed, go to run it and then get told there's an update ... 1.6gb in size - seriously why isn't this put into the store instead as I'm sure it's not a patch but the whole game again.
Alternatively, sort out the patch properly so it's only 100mb instead of downloading the whole lot again.
Was looking forward to having a play this afternoon, I'm already disappointed and unimpressed and I haven't even seen the opening video! |
