I explore as a main source of income. Naturally, I want a space that's far away from a cluster of pilots and is relativly quiet throughout the day. (Nevermind that like-minded explorers do the same) I've found a few nice systems to go into that are part of the same Sovereignty as the ones that I usually explore in but I wonder if they have less of a chance to spawn certain complexes that I look for?
I've noticed that certain systems have a higher chance of spawning grav sites than others and some systems have a combat site up almost 24/7. I'm not sure if this is coincidence but I need to know if some systems are set to generate more of some things than others. |

So any system that is still within the same Sov has the same chance to spawn any type of Complex that pertains to that particular Sov? |

never heard that complex spawn mechanic is affected by sov. if you upgrade system, then yes, but i doubt that if you have sov in 2 systems and you'll clear plexes in first they'll appear in second. it would be abused so much. |

I'm sorry, I should have been more specific. I meant NPC space. Caldari have the Guristas, Ammar have Blood raiders.. Ect |

No one will tell you for sure what are the rules governing site spawning mechanics. Only devs know this and they are unlikely to share this knowledge. What is quite possible is that sites are spawned randomly in any possible system, which is limited by sec level ( hi/low/null) and NPC "sov".
I can tell you from my own experience that I never saw anything that could suggest that some systems are more likely to get more sites of certain type and I'm doing this stuff for quite some time. One day I can find a lot of good sites ( rated/unrated complexes ) in some systems and the next day I will find a lot of gravs/ladars/mags in the same systems.
It is better to assume that, from explorer's point of view, it is all random ( even if it isn't totally random ) because we just don't know for sure how does site spawning mechanics really work ( we can only make a guess based on experience ). I adopt this pov and I always find sites no matter the systems I move to. This leads me to believe that it actually works just like that : it is random ( one day is good while next day is trash ). Only thing influencing site spawning is competition ( more people doing sites --> more respawns --> bigger chance of sites spawning in "your" systems ).

Since sites always spawn near celestials, systems with more of them might have a higher chance of having more sites, but that is probably the biggest thumbsuck I've ever made regarding exploration. |
