I had hoped to engage a couple of Battleships I noticed hugging the M20 station in Dodixie last evening. Unfortunately they were both only entertained by trying to attack an npc pilot in a Drake (which they failed to kill). I showed up to kill them, then they docked and logged off.
Looking for them... check
Finding them... check
Engaging them...

Day 5...really..5 now?
My lovely daughter woke up early, so I got to do some early morning roaming around Torrinos...brand spanking new home away from home.
When low and behold, there's a WT in my local. After catching up to him, and missing. (The guy was on auto-pilot and I hit the gate as he was approaching it. Gambled on jumping through and lost. I camped his catalyst into station with..the Helios of Doom (tm). But decided that this wasn't going to go anywhere.
But from Torrinos towards high sec is a pipe..so I went one system over and camped the gate. After a few minutes, my wonderful target jumps through.
Now, Helios of Doom vs a destroyer was I will admit..a close fight. One that the guy would have survived if he actually had not shot back at me. For the helios of doom lacks one very important piece of equipment. A web.
Had he just made a run for the gate he would just have jumped through and gotten away.
As it was the poor guy was sitting on the gate as my wee little hobgoblin was tearing through him. Firing with the rainbow of equipment he had fit.
Unfortunately, his pod made it through the gate..(ever tried to pod someone with just a drone? Takes forever..)
12) Pilot Education Program Failure: Nobody told him about how to get his pod out should he be popped out of his ship. (You cannot jump through a gate if you just got popped out of your ship) 13) Pilot Education Program Failure: Nobody told him about aggression cooldowns and the inability to use gates and stations if you have performed an aggressive action. (You have to not turn your guns on or turn them off and pray your tank holds to jump through a gate/dock)
For a corporation who supposedly trains future mercenaries. Their pilot education program seems to be lacking some of the most basic lessons. --

11) Corporate Leadership Failure: Just plain...fail.
No kidding. I feel sorry for this guy, and that Augoror? Yikes.
If you have the heart, have him contact me in-game, or EveMail me his name and I can contact him myself. I will make myself available to him and answer any questions that he has, help him fit ships, all that good stuff that a helpful Trading Alt does. I spend time helping out in newbie chat, so I am pretty well versed in this kind of thing already. I can also offer him several corporation options that will serve him far, far better.

I wouldn't go *that* far. I'm not doing that much damage. The Logisical Nightmare and Suddenly Ninjas are doing more. But that's just fine by me. I don't particularly play well with others as far as fleet ops etc. are concerned. And I don't deal very well with voice comms or 'following orders'. Which is why I mostly play as a one man operation. And while I keep the published standards, I don't always follow them... For example.. My semi standard spiel I give folks when they join the IEEE:
Quote:
Hi, we don't have medical, dental, ship replacement, or skill provisioning programs. Following my orders will probably get you killed.
We don't have a corporate hangar, no corporate assets, and you won't be getting any roles. We don't have an office unless I rent one temporarily for folks to join up in.
I only expect that you do what you say you are going to do, or that you try. We will back you down the line unless you are being an idiot, at which point I will probably kill you multiple times (if I can) and then kick you from the corp.
Welcome to the IEEE.
Recruitment is random. I try not to recruit very many new players as I feel bad when they die horribly. And while I usually expound upon the virtues of training programs for new pilots. The IEEE is not a training organization unless you count training by fire.
(Although I'm afraid I might have to give one of my guys some fitting help.. A shield buffered brutix mounting Heavy T2 Neutron with lead (Fed Navy Lead?) ammo hurts my eyes.) --

That's perfectly normal except for the lead part. Although it doesn't work so well without scimitars...

I am reminded, why I don't go to 0.0 on a regular basis...
On my way to the tiger's den...I got caught by a competent gatecamp in a non-cloaky ship. Fit cheap because it was likely that I get nabbed...but meh.
Still managed to get my pod out though, despite getting caught on the edge of a bubble and pod-tanking an arazu :)
Reminder to self... Thanks to...MM (I think, didn't stick around long enough to look) for killing off my vexor...Oh well..will try again later --

Oh well.... someone left the party.
TL;DR: MissCeo has left her position as CEO and founder of her corporation...and seems rather cheery about it.
Now..lets have a chat with MisterStraight..the new CEO. --

Things to add: from the look of it the pod express back to empire was initiated by someone blue to MissCeo. If they simply helped with a bloody jump or got fed up with him, I don't know.
Wonder if MisterStraight knew he got the CEO position? As a char who very much looks like his alt, let's call him IceMinerStraight, already founded a new corp with a similar name to the old one I guess yes.
Besides, I'd be happy to, back in safe high sec, getting all the items of my ex corpies for free... nice isk bonus for the new char, eh? ____________________________ Whine : The only FOTM than never gets nerved or out of style! |

So, I travelled my butt out to X-7OM again. See what's shaking. And on my way managed to get several interesting conversations and one (er, sadly fail recorded on my part) voice session.
Apparently, today the 20th of August..something *big* is going to happen around their 'home' system. No details yet fair reader. But their consortium 1000 strong will be doing...something. God knows what, but I'm there with popcorn. --

I have watched the system for a while now in my trusty cloaky ship. Getting intel, watching people come and go, you know the stuff.
I think the system is pretty nice for full time pvp, but as a new player I'd probably be somewhere else as the system sees a lot of action. I think quite a few of MissExCeo's ex corp members agree with me, as their online time in the system dropped and their overall number did, too.
Oh and you have to like smack talk and station games. A lot.
I guess they went to the fearful 0.0 not really understanding what to expect, bought the most expansive ship they could sit in and hoped for the best. Fittings pulled from local where an apoc with 3 mega, 3 dual heavy and 2 torps. I just hoped it was pulse laser, though beams probably aren't out of the question. The much more fearful abaddon with 5 tachys and the myrmidon with 2 ogres in the drone bay.
Still there were nice times, when they didn't abuse proud ships with their fittings. After more than half an hour of constant chatter in local, MissExCeo finally sees me hanging around in the system. While the amount offered for my frozen corpse was an insult it sure looked nice when they warped to the gates to prevent me escaping. Warped away from me that is.

There are 2 big things that bring down this audit.
1) No forum drama 2) Chat logs are boring when nothing happens 3) FFS name and shame. Seriously.
Fake edit: Ok 3 things.
I guess this will hold me over until TRAPs comes out with something new. |

So, there I was, looking COAD over to see if there's anything interesting being announced over in Pure Blind with respect to the IEEE's current investigation..when what do I find. Looks like MissCeo's got new friends in local.
Too bad I can't post over in CAOD. (Might need to recruit a few alts to get up to 10 guys, CAOD is pretty damn dry I'm sure they would appreciate the humor break) --

Hm...since I won't out them myself...let's just take a look over...here for some more details and actual names from which you can start to connect the dots. The targets in question are apparently watching and reading, but under some kind of executive order to not say anything. Such is life. --

So, headed back out to 0.0...and it turns out that MissExCeo is back to being MissCeo. Turns out that she fled her own corp just to visit highsec and go shopping.
The lame is strong with this one apparently. Logs to come to the blog soon from her 0.0 local home. (All I could wish for right now, is the ability to bypass the competent camps to 'home' with something with some firepower) Morsus Mihi seems to have the pipe pretty well covered when I wanna drag things through :). --

So, MissCeo is one again proving that she should not be leading people.
14) Leadership Failure: One should not be recruiting into your alliance during war. 15) Leadership Failure: If you are recruiting during war, at least inform your new alliance mates that you are at war and will be shot at almost immediately.
I've just shot and podded the CEO of a newly joined corp to their alliance.
After a short conversation...they had no idea they were at war. *FAIL* --

The investigation into the Zahn Consortuim. Their CEO Elizabeth hope, and the alliance they joined (death From above..) is coming to a close.
Many infractions of the collected works of good standards and practices as recorded by the IEEE have been noted during this two week audit.
Unfortunately a small issue with incorrectly filed paperwork has left the IEEE without its traditional powers of corporate and alliance disbandment, since the entities have moved their main corporate offices out of Empire space.
The corporation and alliance entities however, continue to recruit in Empire, and have been providing the IEEE with more opportunities for spot inspections as the days have progressed. The targets usually being woefully uninformed about the state of the investigation and the (unfortunately infrequent) spot checks that are being made on their corporate and alliance members.
Earlier this day, a particular member was busy running a mission, in a ship named 'TheElectricOne's Vexor'. Both clear violations of good standards and practices during an CONCORD sanctioned war.
Unfortunately for the gentleman in question, his ship was processed and recycled in space by my Helios of Doom and a corpmate's Harpy.
We at the IEEE feel it is important for the community to know about this dangerously run corporation and alliance. Under no circumstances should any CEO allow their pilots to be brought under the wing of these folks, for they will get you killed with their lack of training, compassion, and caring for the pilots under their command. And for individual pilots looking for a corporation to join, the alliance and corporation in question should be avoided at all costs.
The IEEE would like to thank Suddenly Ninjas, The Logistical Nightmare, and others too numerous to count including disgruntled members of the corporation and alliance in question, for their support during this audit. Including member lists, secure communications access, and corporate intelligence, and extra muscle when it counted.
In closing, the IEEE would like to remind the pod pilot community in general, that following good standards and practices as published and available from the IEEE will avoid future spot checks, and possible audits in the future. We would further like to offer consultancy services by the IEEE to improve corporate adherence to good standards and practices. Please feel free to contact the chief librarian of the IEEE for details.

Incorrect, Mr. Cayne. The class of the wormhole plays no factor in the ship size entrance capabilities. That, my friend, is a function of the actual wormhole itself (i.e. the number of the wormhole - like B279 or something...)
Wow..I stand corrected. I'd gathered from the Ninjas that these Class 2 systems never accepted them...Learn something new every day. And knowing is half the battle.
The other half is pure..unadulterated violence. (Usually)
