I've noticed alot of this "you noob stfu" attitude from certain people in Eve (always the same ones too strangly). Honestly it makes me wonder what type of people they really are. I mean they're not replying in character its just malicious and mean. If it was some kind of roleplaying an "axxxxxe" I'd understand but they don't even pretend to. They just ARE that way.
Common courtesy aside I like the live by the addage "say something nice or at least constructive or don't say anything at all" (notice I didn't say "or stfu").
Personally I don't think much of these people. I mean how hard is it to be nice to someone. I meet people in real life like this and regardless of their wealth or anything else all I see is "low class". I'm sorry but being nice to people should be the EXPECTATION and not the EXCEPTION.

Quote: "the day concord was upped to uber levels was the day the carebears won. Ever since then instead of grouping together to defeat threats like moo etc. people have whined and complained to CCP to fix the problems for them, because its easier for them. "
You assume they should've had to "group together". In reality many people play Eve for many other reasons then PvP. Player economy, industry, mining, agent running, whatever. They shouldn't have had to fight to the death for that in what was supposed to be safe Empire space.
While it was an "uber-nerf" situation some of it was REALLY needed. We had people who were technically "griefers". I can even recall people after all this finding ways to grief people.
1) Sit in a 1.0 newbie system with a -10.0 sec rating (thus it cant go lower) and pod newbies coming out of the station. Because you were -10.0 you didn't have Concord coming to the rescue. Yep it happend in EVE (twice in fact).
2) Sit at a chokepoint stargate with modules that improperly stacked and uber-magnified the damage (can anyone say exploit) and slaughter everyone in sight without a word. When CCP says they weren't intended to do this the reply was "who cares you make the game right its not our responsibility" and they kept using them. Yep it happend in EVE.
More examples available but you get my point. Really a very small out of control population of players "screwed" themselves and everyone else. With these antics in what was supposed to be "safe" Empire space they forced CCP to take drastic measures. Now we have missile firing billboards! While I'd welcome those on the freeways of Arizona here to deal with the bad drivers in Eve they're overkill. But they were demanded.
I myself miss the Empire "pirates". But I mean REAL PIRATES like Setec and his crowd. They brought alot of character to Eve and alot of excitement. I was treated with nothing but professionalism EVERY time I was robbed by him and his Space Invaders crew. But the antics of others who just turned this into a big gankathon ruined it for everyone. I feel bad everyone doesn't have the honor of being held up by a "class act" pirate corp. In many ways these guys were the ultimate Eve "roleplayers".
Now they're all gone.
