Ofcourse this is all still alpha/beta whatever, but in case the brainstorms and all did not come up with all the aspects, here a small list of what's currently missing:
* Remove/adjust Routes for the flow, the only way to change it now is to remove the PIN and rebuild it from scrap to enter the proper values (schematics can be changed on the fly which is nice) * When in space there is no way i can see which planets i own command centre's on, in the long run this can mean alot of unused planets by lots of players as they've forgotten about them * I'm sure some extractors have run out of mine-able resources by now, but no messages on this event... Does CCP expect me to use an out-of-game calendar where i put in start/end of the mining ops there to streamline ingame stuff ? * As i can see it now, the routes fill a processing plant only with the amount of items it needs for 1 run (say 12 alluminium) and it stores only 12 alluminium till all the materials for a succesfull run are available, then they are consumed. Can the mechanics be altered that the processing plants stock the materials till a given amount of M3 before the route stops instead of stockpiling it at the extraction plants ?
Some other questions:
* Will extraction plants become upgradeable so they can extract more then 1 type of material as they do now, as i believe at one point the location of the extraction plant will determine the materials available to extract (hence the scan function with the nice colouring )
* Is there a way to use the onboard scanner while in planet mode, or do i go invisible when entering planetary mode? Else one has to get a gang of watching his/her back while being in planetary mode as for now there is no way to keep an eye on your surroundings, which is a bad thing in lo/0.0 sec ofcourse ;)

Or fly to a safe spot, cloak, then enter the planetary mode. You don't need to be *at* the planet unless you want to get the launch cans or deploy the command centers. By the way, this is my signature.

Actually there is a list under the science & industry section of the neocom.

Ah, cheers mate had been looking around and could not find it.. must have been tired and looked over it :)
@others, yes a cloak or either support could do, perhaps an extra role for the orca with cloak to pick up and manage resources.

Check your journal, there is a tab called Planetary Launches. Just select the can you've launched and warp to it.

Anybody noticed that when you connect a couple of extractors to a PCC and then a couple of factories to that PCC, only one of them will produce anything?
I think my routes are all set up properly, but only the first-built factory ever produces anything.

You can also enter planetary view from the comfort of a station if you use the science & industry menu, so no need for cloaks or anything like that.
Does anyone know what the satellite scanner is supposed to do? I hit the "scan" button but it doesn't seem to do anything. I'm trying to establish some ore refineries but they just come up with 0-yield cycles and I was hoping the scanner would give me a way to find carbon deposits. Veritas vos liberabit. |

The sattelite scanner will bring up a colored map over the planet after the scan and will tell you where the highest amount of the scanned type is (as for now you seem to be able to scan for hydrogen/noxcium and a third one) but it's not functional at the moment, i even once got a menu popping up with the mentioned scan button in the dev blogs.
There is also a bug that when you scanned for deposits like carbon, you have to remove the pin and re-build it again if you want to scan for other materials.
