As some of you may know Black Star Alliance [BLAST] are an "ally" to the well known IT Alliance, and space holders of Minotaur Fountain. During the late hours of US time zone the local force known as Panda Team placed a SBU in the system of PXF-RF. The leader of BLAST, TurboDog2 sent out a Call To Arms asking all pilots to retreat from the northern pure blind area to come protect the homeland. During this time the Corporation of Shadows Of The Requiem was preparing to part ways with BLAST due to a multitude of internal leadership issues in the alliance that had given a bad taste to the SOTR. Corporation, as well as so many BLAST pilots of other corps. The timing was however impeccable when the CTA went up and SOTR members joined to help as a final goodbye to the alliance they had served with over the last few months. SOTR leaders quickly became disheartened by what would be referred to as "disparaging" remarks from the BLAST leadership cursing its members, and one BLAST leader saying "these pilots are not worth a dime. All they do is join IT fleet in north!" SOTR Leadership decided enough was enough and an example would be made this day. Quick action was taken to come in contact with what were once "hostile" forces of the neighboring area. Pilots from Panda Team and Shadows Of The Requiem spoke in private relaying information for hours as BLAST attempted to create a fleet.
The sov became vulnerable before the fleet was ever fully ready due to a constant feed of false intel that a Pandemic Legion capital fleet was positioned to cyno in to save the SBU and help kill the BLAST Fleet. BLAST leaders asked the PAX and HUN allies in the area for help and a fleet of around 85 was assembled. After much struggle of getting ships through gates and regrouping with HUN ships the allied fleet moved to PXF and was engaged on the gate upon entry by Panda Team forces who successfully held the gate for several minutes despite being outnumbered by a Remote Rep Battleship fleet. BLAST finally engaged the enemy fleet and the battle raged on. SOTR Command made the decision to outright attack blast on the field and aid in the destruction of their once allies, fueled by the continuing disparaging comments from BLAST leaders to the fleet, and the screaming on comms of "you idiots" A SOTR Hyperion opened up smart bombs in the middle of the allied RR group while a SOTR Director used his drake to tackle other ships and aid in holding them as Panda Team picked off ship after ship. The BLAST FC ordered the bubbles destroyed so that support could warp away, but the moment bubbles went down a SOTR dictor rebubbled his own fleet holding them down as more ships were lost. BLAST was clueless as to what had happened and failed to check killmails to see the SOTR pilots on the kills. BLAST disengaged and went to safe POS to regroup.
After an hour of regrouping BLAST jumped to Serpentis Prime and attacked an offline small tower owned by Panda Team in order to try and bait them away from PXF. Panda instead took out station services in PXF. BLAST returned to 9DQ and prepared to cyno back to PXF. Withing thirty minutes BLAST cyno bridged on top of the PXF station to free trapped pilots and then warped to the SBU and attacked. Panda was waiting and engaged however the BLAST fleet outnumbered them and had a heavy RR fleet with logistics. After a few losses SOTR Command gave the order for the hyperion pilot to light up, destroying drones, logistic drones, and causing massive damage to the entire ball aiding in destroying multiple logistics. The BLAST FC called the pilot primary all too late and GK took out more ships. Finally before the BLAST fleet could recover, a director level pod pilot in charge of a squad of BS warped the squad to the Panda Team POS in PXF (yes panda has a hostile pos in the heart of BLAST space) right on top of multiple ships and an Aeon slaughtering them all.

Shadows Of The Requiem CEO posted a message to alliance citing reasons for leaving the alliance, including the removed of a loyal corporation after receiving false threats of them being spies. This corp was never given a chance to defend themselves, and alliance members were ordered not to question or seek details concerning proof of the accusations by alliance leaders. No sooner had the mail gone out than SOTR was kicked by BLAST leaders and proceeded to reship and prepare to fight BLASTs now 100 man BS fleet head on. Coordinating strikes against the BLAST BS fleet, Panda Team and Shadows Of The Requiem would cause over 8 billion in losses to Black Star Alliance while receiving less than 1.5billion in total and causing the BLAST fleet op to last for around 9 hours before they finally took the SBU down.
After SOTR was out of the alliance and again after the battle, an undisclosed number of BLAST pilots would convo or mail SOTR members expressing their remorse to see the corporation leave. Others cited they thought the insurrection was well planned and carried out and ended with a very good fight, and an interesting day for sure. A number of pilots would go on to express their agreement for the reasons expressed by SOTR leaders for leaving BLAST, saying they too felt the same way about the alliance's treatment of members and pure absence of leadership and organization.
Highlights of the entire ordeal: 1) Fleet warp that took an afk AEON to gate 2) Squad warp of BS to pos 3) Inability of a 100 man fleet to take on hac/bcs of half the number 4) 2000 man alliance getting 100 in fleet to include 20 allies (80/150 logged in) 5) BLAST FC using a machariel as his flagship for the RR Fleet 6) Bombing a full flight of Fighter Bombers into oblivion (not counted in the 8 billion loss) 7) SOTR CEO Cited as "The New Tolstoy" by a BLAST pilot responding to the SOTR departing alliance mail. 8) BLAST members asking if BLAST Leaders could get IT to come help... "Where is our puppet master!!"
Special thanks to littlebowski for hitting my bomber, while I was cloaked, over 30k away from his targets... EpicFailMiss!! But impressive ;-)
Oh, and BLAST... ITS A TRAP!!!

Sure... 1) Locals put up SBU 2) BLAST Runs home crying to save space 3) SOTR gets ****ed at BLAST for the way they treat members 4) SOTR traps blast fleet, gets kills, blast doesnt notice SOTR involvment (somehow) 5) SOTR helps Panda trap blast again, smartbombing fleet, warping squad to hostile pos killing them 6) SOTR kicked from BLAST 7) Bombers attack BLAST fleet for an hour or so 8) BLAST dies over and over again to smaller force in their own system (probably because they had no support for the BS, only 1 interceptor) 9) 8billion+ damage to BLAST vs 1.5bill damage to Panda and SOTR 10) BLAST Takes down SBU after 9 hour op and many losses, runs away and logs off.

Where....have....I...heard...that...story...before?
Hrm.
Let me think.
Oh I remember now.
Turbodog2 was a member of IRC leadership when that alliance falsely accused one of their most loyal corps of being ready to take over the alliance without proof and ordered complete intel blackouts on the details of why the corp was accused. The alliance was out of its space 4 months later.
Good luck BLAST, seems like you all are on the clock.
Edit: Oh yea, Oldma and Dib...looks like we finally found your false snitch.

BLAST Pilots are prohibited by the alliance leader from posting on COAD, only turbo can post here unless he authorizes it, so dont expect much response from BLAST. And I am not 1337 I dont know how to play EVE, I sit in high sec and mine :-(

Considering alliances (most of them) in this game have become a political joke and a massive run for power commanded by a single rich guy at the helm using it for an Epeen Contest, SOTR is not interested in an alliance, at least currently. Any any alliance we would join would be one that actually treated its members like humans, and worked with its leaders not against them on even the simplest tasks. But good to hear from you lunas, hope all is well on your end.

Glad to see you enjoyed it as much as I did ( 9 hours of lag-free fighting ... could I really ask for more )
Sad to see you leave fountain, don't let it go to your head but you are one of the rare person that had a decent vision of why we are doing what we are doing
The way it went was pretty amazing, with so many major mistake from blast that we barely understand why anyone would want to stay with them ... really the fleet warp on the AFK Aeon that landed in a gate bubble was just so funny
From our perspective:
We spent the US TZ friday putting up a large tower with just too many ECM to base today op
When most Euro zone was there Saturday morning, we started onlining a SBU in their system, knowing this would probably give 3 hours to blast to CTA and make ppl jump down from the north
while it was onlining we set up a Scimitar heavy gang with shield nano-hacs and waited for the local to fill up a bit, at that point our gang was like around 20
While seeing blast gang growing next door to pfx around 30, we hear a 15 man HUN gang was coming from Foutain core, we went up to V6 toyign around with them in system, with fleet equal of size and blast 1 jump away with 30 people but both group stayed safe
we went back to PFX, were SBU was about to go up (thinking they would bridge to it) , and set ourselves at the gate, surely enought they came trought outnumbering us 2 to 1 , but didnt engage and decided to lose a couple BS while rest was burning to get people stuck in the PFX station out
once they were out off station , they went to their titan and bridged next door to PFX and regrouped the entire fleet, sbu at that point was online
We stayed there hoping they would jump, and after much confusion on their part (they really didnt seem to have a clue what to do) they went for a small anchored tower we had in serp
at that point we jumped a few carrier alt in system at our tower, made them delegate fighter to our nano-sheild hacs/logistics and started to kill station services and reinforce it
when our samll tower backbone in serp was killed they all came back to 9DQ, we all warped to our SBU we had there, put ourself at decent range from it with logi and hac loaded with fighter, and then they jumped on us and slaugther ensured for a long time

A good recruiter, from a good alliance, will research BLAST and not recruit us based on that alone if they know anything of the alliance unfortunately... Trolls never bother me, but I hope that those alliances, corps, or pilots in general that know of BLAST will get a good lul out of this fiasco, as the folks from Shadow Of xXDEATHXx did. Condenses down to:
Some corp not in blast called panda team drop a sov blocker, some corp in blast was leaving, corp pretended to join op for 'one last time' instead they flipped mid fight and smart-bombed there own fleet, tackled some other guys.
Blast tried to distract them by leaving and shooting an inconsequential tower, pandas shot some station services.
Condenses down to:

Instead all you did was shaft the members, the people you have been playing the game with just because you werent happy with the leadership and then needlessly bragged about it.

By the way meno, nice summary
So, if it was major and important it is cool n alright to turn? sweet, I'll have to remember that the next time an urge strikes, but off the bad sarcasm.
As for shafting the members, BLAST is, at the time of this writing, a 1782 member alliance. During this 'backstabbery' as some called it when talking to me earlier, you pulled together maybe 100 of these members tops, so I guess we may have shafted 1/18th-ish(5.6%) of the alliance. (and to my knowledge, quite a few of these guys understood our view and don't feel shafted at all by us after some convo's we got) In the end we had some fun, 5.6% of the members had a change of pace, and we all get to have our own infallible view of the whole matter. Main regret I have is sleeping in, I missed all the initial fun!
On a funny note, we informed Turbo of our intent to leave days prior to this incident, he even had an ex-member of ours claim that we intended to destroy assets before we left, which was not our original intent. (The idea to go out as we did was decided last minute as explained in initial wall-of-text post. )
Now, to be more of myself for a moment, I'd like to pick out a pointer to improve the alliance: Leadership Attitude. This trickles down rather fast into the ranks and can effect it very dramatically. With a number of alliance heads and people of import disparaging members, be it for not bringing an acceptable ship, getting blown up, not dancing to their tune and playing eve their way, not being in fleet every second they're on, and a number of other factors, it is a bit easier to understand why you can only pull so few out to defend your own home, and one of the three station systems you have even.
Then again, as Tyrol has shown through the current attitude towards the matter, this wasn't a major battle, and PXF is not an important system. So if they had managed to lose sovereignty, it not like its a big deal or anything.
To end, a word of warning to BLAST. As you're well aware, panda don't really want sov,(they'd probably auction it off if it happened), but seeing as you ordered a full return to Fountain to deal with the threat, only scrounged up 80-100 members, and took over 8 hours to destroy a single SBU, it doesn't bode well. Panda are guerrilla's, they strike your home, have their fun, get some laughs, and head back to where you can't really hit them. Now, imagine if the enemy was serious, imagine if they wanted to take over, have the resources to boot, and aren't there for a laugh and to see how much misery they can make with bombers and hacs.
...off topic Lunas! good seeing you're still around, all goes well for me(apart from whole needing loans for college bull****), hope the same is for you and that EIA is prospering.
