We're mostly an early PvE Corp with a little industry going on, we operate at Gallante space and surprisingly got a wardec message from a Corp of '09- with 17 members and players ranging from a year of game '09, they mostly use cruisers from Vexors to other race's and a Tech II- atleast that's what we've got skimming down their killboard, about 4.0Bill positive damage dealt and 0.2Bill loss; I'm assuming they attack in surprise and in groups.
I think they have been watching us; don't you hate when some weirdo enters in a message with your name linked? in Local or just in a random convo? randomly and uncalled for! we don't have a possible rat in our Corp- I don't think so, but we certainly got someone's attention; either payed or just sniffed us, 5 jumps from where we are but they do have another Corp campaigned.
Some precautions taken `Announced to make alts in case of need for going underground `Planned safe spot 10 hours until start
I'm just not sure about this, this is a first from us getting wardecced from a player Corp- it also appears that their also wardeccing another poor 'ol industry/mining Corporation.. Things can change in just a second! but it makes things interesting..
Should their gains be a concern? what tips would you suggest or consider? Just would like to hear about a story anyone might have or just anything that could help..
If you got an eyebrow stretched thinking to know more I can tell you more about them and their killboard... Hoping for an archangel savior to vanquish these foes =\ but thx for hearing me out.
Just a lowly message out from space and beyond. |

Make insta-undock boookmarks for the stations you use.
Have neutral scouts.
Jump into clones with cheap implants.
Add enemies to your addressbook/watchlist so you can see who's online.
Fit out some combat ships you can afford to lose and fight - you might be surprised how much fun it is. Think about isk - you can lose 6 T1 cruisers but kill a HAC, that puts you way ahead in the isk war.
Gang up with their other targets.

Put your shiney pve ships away, dock up the industry ships, look up some cheap and cheerful pvp fits and have some fun with it. You could invite the other corp that has been decced to fleet up with you on this?
You could also convo the war dec-ing corp CEO and ask the reason for the dec. Maybe they want some "easy" PVP against a primarily pve corp? But there could be some specific reason for it that you don't know about - it's worth asking sometimes.

My EVE youtube tutorials, there's one specifically on being wardecced but the others are also quite useful.

I'm surprised with the help I got so far ^^ really eases up the stress and I agree that it does keep things interesting
But I'm rather just worried about their records and whether or not we should even bother to contact them, so far we'll see once the siren goes off o/ |

Take your corp to low sec. Then go fight rats. Some merc corps don't want to lose ships to Faction hunters/pirates, while u hide untill the carnage is over

Disband and reform corp, rinse and repeat. They'll have to pay again to redec it, cost more for them to dec than for you to form corp.

Your biggest asset is numbers. There's a second corporation that has been war decced, so use it. At this point, you should have superior numbers, which means you should be able to form larger groups. When this is the case, many times you will win.
Do not, however, expect numbers to win for you. You will need to make sure both corporations understand who is in charge of the fleet. When he calls primary, you do it. If everyone is shooting randomly, you will lose.
Bring EWAR. A Blackbird or two is very painful against small corporations like the one that decided to war decc you. When this happens, you can single-handedly remove two or three ships from the fight - this is especially crucial if they bring logistics to the fray, or their own EWAR.
In short, your strength lies in numbers. At the same time, if they are sticking to cruisers, go cruisers or above. This will allow you to tank them, deal substantial DPS, and can provide you with valuable training.
And expect to lose ships, but don't fit for it. As a mining and industrial corporation, you shouldn't need to worry too much about your ships. ;)
Also, if all else fails, get into an Alliance. Once that happens, the fee increases exponentially. Do not, however, make the war "mutual". They may push for it. What this will do is essentially make it permanent, because both CEOs have to agree to end the war. At the same time, it removes the need for them to pay a fee to keep the war running. First to fight for right and freedom, And to keep our honor clean!

Make the dec fun. I can tell you that a while back, my corporation war dec'd Broski's. They were a insanely large corporation, but mostly young pilots just learning the game(I too once was dec'd in a corp as a noob and made it fun). They had superior numbers, with multiple pilots flying cheap t1 ewar and tackle frigs. We had a blast, being outnumbered against all the targets, and they had a blast being overwhelming, losing very little per death.
Point being, make it fun, don't drive your expensive stuff, keep a very good outside logistics crew, if needed for isk and ships - and use an npc corporation or limit the knowledge of these pilots. If it becomes overwhelming for your members, you will probably find you lose members and/or activity. Also, make sure your members aren't taunting these pilots, as that can only cause them to want to kill you more.
Being wardec'd will test your corporation's resolve as well, and trim the fat of members that aren't really interested in helping you build it into anything important.

Use these easy steps for fun PvP:
1. Organize: Consolidate everyone in corp, preferably getting everyone into the same station/base of operations. Doing so allows your corp to react more quickly to threats and to save a poor sob who did something dumb. Moreover, corroborate between yourselves and put together some "good" PvP fits for cheap, easily replaceable, ships for everyone in corp. Discussion on tactics also helps.
2. Go cheap: NEVER underestimate the power of a T1 ship. Even a T1 frigate can be useful in pumping out a bit of hurt if fitted correctly. T2 are not the "uberpwnmobiles" them seem like and CAN be killed.
3. Be tactical: If you are a mining or some other carebear corp, use this to your advantage. Play up your newbishness to give your opponent a false sense of security and lay a trap for them. Hulks, if fitted right, can take a bit of a beating and be "stealth" tacklers. Alternatively, do what one guy has suggested and move to low-sec for awhile. The combined threat of pirates and you might scare them away.
4. Follow directions: Appoint someone who is familiar with PvP, the mechanics of it, and has a good grasp of tactics as your FC (Fleet Commander). When engaging, follow his commands to the letter. And for God's sake, FOCUS YOUR FIRE.
5. Be diplomatic: Smacktalking is okay when it is good in good faith and light. Don't start throwing around insults in local about their mother or question their manliness. Such things only serve to strengthen their resolve and continue the war dec LONG after they might have let it go. At the same time, don't be scared about talking to them. They are people too and they are playing the same game you are. They just have different goals from yours. Be civil and talk as equals to them. You never know, you might get some results. If not, you have lost nothing. _______________________

Don't hide. It is quite annoying when you wardec someone and the only time they undock is when they have 15+ with a 4 basilik support group. Then again, these are the same people who run level 4s in Command ships, bs, and two basis.
In a nutshell. Fight, whether you win or lose you fought. =/ Biomass is free (of) Eve4life! |

Well who's to say annoying your enemy isn't fair in a war?
Some people are just looking for kills, if they can't get any the decced party might just consider it a moral victory.
