You are incorrect. The question was, ôHow can you find out for sure if someone has been banned?ö. All IÆve gotten so far is speculation and sarcasm.
Look at posts #3 (and #17, I guess) again. It answers this question fully.

I know the answer, and so do you now, and I'm posting to point out that you do. You also don't get to tell me what to do and not, so if you don't like that answer, feel free not to post here. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

I know, but even so, you really need to expound on the topic to explain why you think so.

Yes? And?
Your question was: ôHow can you find out for sure if someone has been banned?ö The answer was: ôYou can't.ö
Then there were some additions on how you could get some hints on someone's status: ôif you add the person as a contact and tick notification list option you will see if they ever log in.ö and ôthe only way to find out if someone is banned is to ask them, in RL or on some other forums, [or have access to ccp internal stuff]ö, and you've just confirmed that the second of these hinting options is not available to you.
Nowà How does this not answer your question? ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Yes there has. You just don't want to believe it.
Quote: I believe that there IS a way to find out for sure if someone has been banned.
Believing the moon is made of custard doesn't make it so. CCP will not discuss other people's account status with third parties. Hell, sometimes they don't even seem to discuss it with first parties. So no.
The closest you could get would probably be to acquire what you think is their login information and see if it lets you in, but since they'd banned, you wouldn't be able to get to the char screen and confirm that it is indeed the guy you think it is, so this is no better than asking and trusting the answer (which you've already disqualified). ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

The deterrent ù getting banned ù is not kept secret.
What's being kept secret is the state of people's accounts, simply because it's no-one else's business except for CCP and the owner of the account. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |
