First, OP: please learn to write somewhat intelligible English sentences. You're more likely to get a sensible answer that way.
Second, from EFT's own FAQ:
Quote: Q: What is the Rating value shown for some setups? A: Rating should be used to find out most effective ratio between maximizing hitpoint buffer and maximizing ship's firepower for currently prevailing fitting principle of buffer tanking ships. In one on one fight between two buffer tanked ships one with higher rating should win (of course provided similar weapon tracking conditions for both sides). In is also possible to sum the ratings of all ships in the group to get the estimate of fight outcome against another group of buffer tanked ships. Exact formula is: Rating = (EHP*DPS)^0.5
Which is to say, if you don't buffer tank your ships, you don't get a rating simply because this "rating" is only meant to rate straight buffer and damage dealt.

additionally, it means you'll never see a rating until the ship is doing damage

I'll answer him...
The ship rating is for buffer fits. It allows you to see in a 1v1 enviroment which would come out on top assuming you're both sat perfectly still and both in optimal range.
It goes like: DPS / Buffer * SomeMultiplierOrSumfink
It doesn't appear on active tank fits for this reason.

Are you serious? The formula is three posts above you. I officially give up on this thread.

what does the rating mean again? __________ A note on voting for CSM 6: Do not vote for someone just because they named issues that you support, instead try to gauge the thinking behind them and try to vote for someone who w |

I think the rating is to determine who can PvP with you. If it's low enough you're E for everyone while getting a rating of NC17 will mean few people will PvP with you, especially depending on local age laws.

thanks to Cypher V, has helped me. But it would be really nice if in the calculation also would be involved with. Why the square root?

Is that rating new? Haven't looked at EFT in ages.
Can't wait for the first whine threads to appear because of someone losing their ship even though it was higherrated by EFT than their opponents' ship. E.g. seems to me that rating is pretty much useless because it doesn't take any piloting/range dictation into account?
