Hi. I was wondering what implants are optimal for training all around skills. With that I mean what are the optimal implants for training a whole bunch of different skills.
At the moment I have 4M skill points and I'm training to fit a Noctis, better missile skills and training to fly a Raven so I need implants that will hurry up training all of those different skills.
If that makes any sense - thanks.

-- Optimal in the sense of fastest training time for a variety of skills?
I'd have to say +5s in all slots. Well, for the skills you're talking about (raven and support skills for a raven) all slots except Charisma. This is worth it if you're never, ever going to be podded (you only run missions/mine, and only in high-sec).
-- Optimal in terms of benefit versus the bother you spend getting them and the likelihood of losing them?
That depends on your isk income and how much PvP you do.
-- Optimal in terms of "i don't want to bother thinking about it, just tell me what to do"?
Put +3s for all stats in all of your clones. Then you don't have to worry about clone-hopping, when you get podded it's only 50m isk to replace the lot of them (40m if you didn't slot a charisma implant), and the difference in training time between this and +4s/+5s isn't huge (3%-5%, generally). ---

Edited by: RavenPaine on 14/03/2011 21:39:00 Read the skill description itself and look at the attributes involved. I like to use the 2 specific implants for that skillgroup only, until I get podded or change skill paths. I use +4's , but using only 2 still keeps me in that *40 mil* cost zone.

cheap and sleazy, +3's. Get these from level 3 storylines if really cheap.
Evemon +4 and +5's. Put in a loooooong train. 9 months at least. Change stats to reflect +5's...see if worth it to you. wasn't for me, ymmv. Get +4's from level 4 storylines if cheap.
If a plain ole carebear, run all stats with implants. You'll be all over for quite sometime for training. Yes. I said all. Means charisma. Helps you train trade skills faster like accounting (saves you isk when selling stuff...not much upfront it adds up over time). Or diplomacy if you take faction missions and start to **** off people.
If you do pvp, cheapest (and I think best way) to do implants is have 3 clones. 1 clone is stripped bare. Its your I am most likely going to die...repeatedly clone. Had one for blob fights on crack where it got to the point titan pilot was going "you again...hope you are at least getting on kill mails and just not being one" lol.
One int/mem clone. Egghead skills.
One perc will clone. Ships and weapons skills.
This setup keeps implant replacement cheaper.

Edited by: Khanid Voltar on 18/03/2011 08:45:50 I would suggest the most optimal route to go would be to group the skills you want to learn by primary/secondary attribute and insert two implants that affect these stats.
If I am feeling rich I use +5's, but always tend to find I lose them stupidly rather quickly.
If I am pvping a lot I use a +4 for the primary attribute and a +3 for the secondary attribute.
Only using 2 expensive implants of course reduces your potential write off should you be podded.
So, optimally I guess I would have 1 JC with a +5 Perc + Willpower, and a 2nd JC with a +5 Intelligence + Memory. If you lack the funds to do this use +4's. If you need to do a skill that isnt covered by these two attribute combinations then you can easily add an extra +3 or +4 implant to the the appropriate JC.

As a younger character, I was leary of investment in implants. I will say that once you can afford a +3 set, it is a must. 50mil when you don't have much to your name is a lot of isk. Either piece them together from storyline missions or even shell out LP in the early going. 50 mil becomes 25 mil and some LP.
As you have access to more JC's, I am a fan of the 2 implant plan myself as other have said. It mitigates the cost if you get podded.
Here's my $0.02 for an intermediate range plan.
- One JC with full +3 compliment and dedicated hardwiring (combat/manufacturing/mining)
One JC with +4 or +5 mem/int One JC with +4 or +5 per/will One JC with blank slate for disposable operation

+1 although I'd just scrap the +3 one and get another +5 int/mem or perc/will ... possibly with cha for those extra silly skills .
