I have talked with a lot of people in eve about this and they all love it!
I think ccp should separate empire space. Make it where every race has its own corner in space where you would have to cross into low sec and null sec to get to a diffrent race empire. Would be better than all high sec space cramed into the middle of the map. This idea would spread people around the map more. 80% of eve lives in empire space! Why not spread empire to 4 diffrent places. This would up pvp levels and raise market prices due to you having to risk moving anyting you have from one empire space to another. Any idea around this idea would make for a better eve I think. So lets hear what you think. Good idea or bad?? Don't just put good or bad lets hear your reasoning behind your choice.

I really do agree with this idea i wish there was more regional markets that required some real effort in shipping to and from to make trading more interesting.
Allso this might make faction warfare more meaningful if it was about controlling these vital economic space lanes.

Stupid idea. Seperating the empires would make EVE highsec 4x smaller, not larger. Who likes flying through Rancer, Ammanake, Tama, ect? WTZ was fun the first few thousand times, got boring the next few hundred thousand. I like to travel unimpeded AFK without valuables, but repeated WTZ/Request Jump/Align/WTZ/Request Jump/ad nausem gets old fast and I have barely played the last 1.5 months doing anything because of it. Factor in catching anything/everything at lowsec gate which I avoid and you might as well go camp the Ghoul Lord back in EQ1 (EVE's "player combat" is just an evolution of 1999 concepts for item camping but swaping players for NPC ). Only way to make EVE bigger and seperate it at the same time in highsec is to increase the number of systems so it feels empty, not a series of rooms with a machine gun post at the end of the hall

Edited by: Zan Shiro on 06/04/2011 05:05:03 if separated...would you see any reason to not be caldari if a carebear? I mean really any need.
I don't....why I'd see it just having the server lopsided to caldari. All their uber pve fits...run on homegrown lp items or ds items from 0.0 as is. Also have the best agents setup I think in game. A caldari pilot usually leaves home space jsut to not be bored or fix standings. I stopped CN running to run for SOE. Just to fix my gallente standing, because empire is connected and need freedom of movement. make space divided, no desire to feed camps at choke points...I'll stay home and could care less about my standings and could tank them to -1000000 and not give a shi.....

This has been suggested before multiple times.
It does not make sense from a story point of view. The empire expansed till they ran into each other. Either the empires have good relations in which means lots of security to protect the trade or they are involved in a cold war in which case lots of guards on the border in case of attach. Macrointel, the place were the nature order of the universe does not hold sway. Pirates and ore thief's are congratulated by carebears for the actions. |

This was the case at one point. CCP had to remove it because it ruined Eve. It's been tried, and failed. Stop bringing it up.

for all of week. Even carebears will learn the ways of the 0.0 jc setups. 0.0 not uncommon to have your garrison clone, frontline clone, empire skill inject clone and the we are going to die fast and violent suicide clean clone.
Separation in effect...want amarr space...send a jc in a fast frigate decent at camp running. Want minny space, make a new clone, new ship. Want to be in gallente...guess what you would do? lol Avoids the barrier sicen all you have to do is hop into the jc of your choice. Just buy new ships (or have them shipped via a jf service) and done. This just a few runs in a pos fast frigate. If cheap...use the t1 frigate the inty is based on. If not cheap...run the inty lol.

At the moment the empires have no real reason to divide so... equally and fairly. The corporations are the ones who rule and they'll do anything to keep it from getting more difficult to make money.
Kuvakei's reappearance (the mass abductions in particular) has served to momentarily ease tensions between governments and corporations alike and even if they won't work together at such a desperate time they're not going to try to make things worse.
Out of character, this would upset many people and could really have a negative impact on morale, significantly reduce trade and then we'd both have shortages of minerals and goods and an excess of frozen ISK as circulation goes down while stakes are going up.
Difficulty travelling would cause a lot more people to only work within a particular empire, reducing exploration and opportunities for socialization, possibly.
Pirates would effectively have fewer reliable hotspots if the number of paths between empires increased and travelers would have more difficulty knowing where to "be careful" for a while.
This focuses more on penalizing highsec instead of incentivizing lowsec, something CCP and its player base try to avoid. ------------------------------- The fox chases for her meal, but the rabbit runs for her life. |

Yes because Eve so desperately needs more lame gate camps.
The fact is bears will quit before they will be forced to fight in the game. Some players just are not into pvp combat and nothing will "make" them do it.

no, it's not a great idea. first of all the lore is that all factions got together and decided to let concord keep the peace for mutual benefit in the highly populated center where the factions meet. the last thing we need is to create more pockets where only the skilled jump teams or super conglomerates can move themselves or items to market.
The final blow to other regions, this move would create even more population in Jita.. and less in others.
