Wasnt sure where to post this so I put it here, forgive me if its the wrong place.
I'm looking for a pvp mentor.
I'm an old player, quit playing about for to five years ago and have recently come back to the wonderful world of eve.
What I'm looking for is someone who can teach me about basically every pvp aspect of the game, from modules to ships to fittings to gang play, low sec, gate camping and pirating.
I used to be a primary missioner/ratter when I played before and needless to say I've grow accustomed to pvp in the years ive been gone.
I will pay the mentor after we set up a deal and I have lots of funds.
Can fly min/amarr, frigs, cruisers, battlecruisers, battleships/ purifier and working for the vaga.
11.5 mil sp in gunnerry maxed arty skills.

If you are looking to do some flashy red piracy, get ahold of me in the game. We've got a great alliance (64th on battleclinic which means nothing but some people like numbers). We do solo, small gangs, somewhat blob-ish gangs (we try to fight bigger gangs when possible), all kinds of stuff.
If you are very familiar with game mechanics and how to do npc combat then it will be fairly easy to learn pvp, just have to re-train your thinking to pvp instead of pve. If you have good personality then we will have an open spot for you if you wish to join up. We aren't concerned with skillpoints or even actual skills as much as we are with finding good ppl (you can train someone to be good pilot, you can't train a-holes to not be a-holes heh).

Edited by: Daneel Trevize on 16/04/2011 20:28:44 You have medium lasers to 3. You have t2 torps to 1 and warhead upgrades + rapid launch to 1. You don't have combat drone operation trained. High speed maneuvering 1, battlecruiser 3, thermodynamics 1.
In fact, you are Dezi Draconin and bought this alt recently.
Yes you can alpha stuff with a BS, but you cannot fit/fly the other stuff you mention well, get an AC punisher. |

Edited by: Daneel Trevize on 16/04/2011 21:07:28 There's not need to pay someone for what you're about to learn. Get an AC punisher (to get the most out of your skills, but yes also insert rifter here), undock, fly until you die, learn why. Could be concord in highsec, gateguns in low, getting caught by a BC in a belt when you should have warped off, all these things and more will happen naturally while you're still dealing with ye olde combat shakes. Lesson 1 is free: you will die and probably not like how quickly. Practice doing this until you're calm enough to start effectively fighting back. Just remember insurance and updating your clone. |

Good day, Arriada:
If you have positive standings with the Minmatar, and are open to learning PVP in low security space (mostly with a good amount in enemy high security space where you will be hunted by the WT navy along with WT's), T.R.I.A.D. is recruiting.
Join the TRIAD AGENCY public channel and email myself or Dendar in game with questions.
We do have some members who give training "live" training sessions, but most of the learning will come from small gangs over time.
Thank you.

This looks like it's either turning into a recruitment thread or a Want Ad. Have you tried applying to pvp starter corps, like EveUni, Agony, etc? Even talking to their recruiters could give you some names who'd offer what you want. I don't know if this forum's the best place to find these people in this MMO. |

The best hulls to learn the basics of pvp are t1 frigs, especially rifters. The best place to fly t1 frigs is red vs blue. Try to find some solo or really small scale fights though, u learn nothing about gamemechanics when u only click the primary and hit f1.

Come to Amamake. Ask for 1v1s for whatever ship class you are in. Get killed by our French contingent. Ask them how you could improve. Repeat until you win.

I think the best thing for you to do would be to join a corporation as the player you are. Be honest and wary and you will meet a group of guys that will teach you what you want to know. You would have fun and save money doing it. Besides that I have never heard of any one on one teachings. Try The Blood Money Cartel, they say they are Pirate Teachers.

People here/in ships&modules will hand out advice about mods and fits to use on ships.
If you're dead set on paying to learn, Podcat might be your best option. At least, his FHC sig is "PM me for info about my pvp course". |
