Should I make a new character?
Pros:
- Second Chance at getting a good reputation (especially on the forums) - The ability to gain a new set of contacts in-game - The chance the try out new agents and a new playstyle
Cons:
- I can only train one at a time unless I make and pay for a new account - I can't join an opposing player corp unless I make an alternate account to make my character - I will have to start from the ground up and slowly work my way to get my new character to the same level of advancement as my current character - I will have to take the time and effort to create a good looking character with the character creator and I will have to go through the trouble of coming up with a good name

A new character won't change your attitude nor perception of good ideas. Also, a good reputation has nothing to do with people knowing whether or not you are, or are not Amaroq Dricaldari. It's highly likely if you continue to post drivel and unsound ideas, as you have in the past, that they will continue to point out the flaws in them. Funny how that works.
Also, your attitude towards me especially will let you down I would suspect. _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

Wouldn't it be just the twist if Amaroq turned out to be my alt?

If you keep behaving on the new character the same way you're behaving on this one, that's not really much of a second chance. On the other hand, if you stop behaving like you usually do, people might not forget, but they usually forgive, at least to some degree. So, that's not really such a big deal, to be warranted as a "pro" on your list.
You can always gain a new set of contacts ingame, there's no limit to the number of people you can be in contact with, if anything, a brand new character has far more difficulty getting acquainted with new people than an older one. So that's not really that much of a pro either.
Unless you have a deep negative standing with some factions for which you want to try out new agents, that doesn't make much sense. Also, any existing SP widen your options, how exactly do you think a fresh start will allow you new playstyles faster than simply doing it on your existing character ? Again, not much of a "pro" reason either.
Got any more things you think should go on the "pro" column ? So far I'm not seeing much that's not highly debatable... _
