So when is the booster change going to be delivered?
What CCP thinks is fun - sounds like fun to me. I wish they were focusing on this stuff.
Not to tack onto the bombardment of hate you guys have been getting since the Dust news but seriously guys; you know the things that would make Eve more awesome, why aren't you doing it? It is frustrating to see opportunity wasted.

You can't meet face to face yet, thus it won't come out until then.

That has nothing to do with booster penalties and new booster selections.

Guess I am alone on this, its no wonder they invest so much effort into space-barbi-online.

It does. the whole thing is planed for one big revamp.
illegal boosters and contraband will only be tradbale face to face in incarna.
Other players will be to tag players carrying illegal contraband in space. Tagged players will be unable to dock in stations and be free to shoot for anyone.
edit:whats funny is everything I just said is posted in in the link YOU posted.

Contraband is one thing. Trading boosters in high sec face to face only is another. Boosters being buffed is another: there is no reason not to delete the 3 lines of lame code that make boosters a ***** to work with now.

So this thread was a test to see how unpopular rad game mechanics are vs how popular space barbie and dust is.
Making Eve an awesome space ship game is obviously not popular, you all have voiced your opinion by not saying a thing. I think this confirms CCP made the right business decision in giving you space dolls.

Yes. OR we just have nothing really to talk about, because all information about future changes of booster mechanics is still pretty vague. Besides, making a thread in GD is no guarantee that anybody will want to talk to you. Did this ever occur to you? Now kindly get out and continue whining about "space barbie" somewhere else. Thank you very much.

Here's how I feel about new content; do something you haven't mastered until it comes out. No one has maxed skill points so HTFU.
And also, you obviously have repressed feelings of hatred towards barbie. . Adapt and overcome or become a monkey on an evolution poster.

That would be kinda stupid. Now if it is a system where the "tag" goes away after some time, like aggro, then ok. But to be forever tagged and unable to dock would be counter productive.
Also, I hear what they're saying "players can scan" etc. But as someone who's run around in cloaky ships from high sec to null sec to worm holes, I can honestly say, that in high sec and low sec for that matter, no one can touch me. Heck, a frig with some nanos or i-stabs is equally difficult to engage - And unless a single "happy pill" is 10m3 or has some equally ridiculous penalty then frigs will be the cost effective runner.
They'll have to be very careful about the balances with all this. If it is too easy then what's the point, if it is too hard, what's the point. Seeing all the fluff about how they want lots of people doing shadowy deals in stations, new boosters etc and want it all to be more widely used, it's going to be on the "easier to smuggle" side of the equation.
Seems as though they're defining a rather narrow balance that will need to be accomplished. With current space/travel and combat mechanics - best of luck.

Next BFF patch! This one I'll happily give a bit more detail about. This was the last item the team worked on, which sadly didn't get completed in time. That sucks, but on the bright side, that means it's first thing on the list for next release release BFF are a part of.

It will be in a few weeks
or
It will be in a few months

So this would mean that http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Wormholes: - Boosters made in black hole wormholes make you faster [old X-Instinct] - Boosters made in Cataclysmic wormholes make you better at RR with a bigger capacitor [Mindflood?] - Boosters made in Magnetars increase your DPS output [.... ?] - Boosters made in Pulsars increase your shield HP and targeting range [<3 Drake] - Boosters made in Red Giants increase your smartbomb range - Boosters made in Wolf Rayets increase your armor resists [Exile'ish]
Yeah, I could totally dig that. Other reworkings of the booster system are more than welcome!

No I mean to add to the existing system, not to replace it.
Something like this:
Blackhole: Ship speed, missile velocity Cataclysmic: Cap recharge, cap capacity, remote repairs Magnetar: overall damage buff booster, (I'd give it the scan res bonus also) Pulsar: shield, targeting range Red giant: overloading, smart bomb range (yeah f-u fighter bombers), smart bomb damage Wolf-Rayet: armor resists, shield resists, small weapon damage bonus

Oh god yes. Also, letting us open secure containers inside a CHA would be pretty pro. Also, a POS module that intelligently provided some reasonably sized personal hangar / ship hangar to individual members would be ****ing swell. Living in a WH takes corp theft to new heights when you can't secure your ****.

Any word on whether the booster change might call for a change to nanite control/neurotoxin recovery?
Slightly expensive skills so people might want to make sure those don't go down the toilet in usefulness.

IMO: - Remove all side effects from boosters - Lower the drop rate of this skill - Make the skill increase the positive benefit from boosters and HG implants by 2%/level.
But yes, I agree... please don't nerf the skill. :)
