...I once dreamt a dream, and now that dream is dead.
To whom it may concern:
FOR my utter failures as Fleet Commander in the defense of our sovereign territory in Querious, which now burns in tatters at the hands of traitorous dogs,
FOR allowing personal distractions such as the alliance tournament, where my role as team captain has resulted in a mediocre performance thus far (and I do consider only performing better than -half- of the teams a sub-par performance),
FOR allowing my corporation to wander, rudderless, while I have willfully descended into wanton vice, decadence, and indiscretions - while countless civilians and KPV employees in the region have burned at the whims of our aggressors and I have done nothing but laugh with indifference,
FOR increasingly and to my own surprise seeking personal gain, wealth, status, and power over other capsuleers with no regard for the greater good aside from my own benefit:
I hereby tender my resignation as CEO of the Khanid Provincial Vanguard.
I hereby name Sinjin Mokk as the new CEO, and place the organization in his capable hands. The Vanguard, or what is currently left of it after this last few months, is now his to do with as he pleases with my blessing.
Where my path will lead at this point I do not know, but one long chapter is certainly ending, in blood and fire.

Politics aside, I have to admire your humility. I expect the KPV will suffer a great deal from this loss in the longer term.
I wonder where your dreams will take you next?

Your "resignation" will probably protect you from formal charges.
The memory of the Khanid is long and the pilots and crew that have died under your command will not be soon forgotten.
A formal statment from the KP-V will be forthcoming.
Enjoy your retirement old friend...

Madame Neferis, despite his self-confessed shortcomings of late I highly doubt the Former Commander has any thoughts of laying aside his faith, but thanks for playing.
Commander Mokk, good fortune to you in your endeavours. May your rule be wise, your people cared for, and your swords sharp.
And to Former Commander Vitalia, may the wind be at your back and speed you to safe harbors, that you may find purpose again. A dream cannot truly be crushed, it just needs to be fluffed out and dusted a little. -Keep low, fly fast, die well. |

FOR your successes in keeping a doomed coalition together as long as you did prior to its inevitable betrayal,
FOR realizing that certain menial tasks are best left to those who care, and that a corp needs to be self-sufficient, as active leadership is highly wasteful of time better spent elsewhere,
FOR coming to the conclusion, without even realizing it, that capsuleers are hardly the ideal people to have being so overly concerned with the greater good at the expense of themselves,
and FOR being the kind of hard-nosed ***** that I would love to share a few drinks with,
I would like to invite you to come and fly with your fellow ex-patriots in Heathen Legion. Whatever it is that you seek, be it penance, wisdom, or simply a bit of rest, you can find it here. We wish you welcome you with open arms and offer you a new home - a far more relaxed and laid back one than perhaps you are used to, but I can promise that you'll like it.
Sincerely, Victoria Stecker, Director of Public Relations, Heathen Legion - In the embrace of Hell, I am no longer afraid, for with His damned embrace, I have become that which I once most feared: Death. |

And as for the rest of the comments while I'm sure Silas is very flattered by the job offers, she will be remaining in Khanid space for the time being.

This is a greater victory for everyone outside the Empire than I think anyone rightly understands. And for me, in fact, it's the greatest gift a True Amarrian could bestow upon me. It's proof, if any were needed, that the True Amarr themselves - not their culture, you understand, the people themselves - are really just like us. They have no innate superiority, neither physical, nor mental, nor spiritual, nor cultural. They are prey to the same vices, faults, flaws and failings that affect all humanity. They are not, in fact, any closer to perfection than any other human being, nor is superiority their birthright.
This is a true example of an Amarrian being forced to accept the reality that really, she's no better than the rest of us.
In that humility, I suddenly find myself - to my surprise, I assure you - possessing a lot more respect for Ms. Vitalia than for any other Amarrian loyalist. ----- Andreus Ixiris CEO, Mixed Metaphor

My statement is likely to fly straight over your head if I don't highlight the relevant bits of information for you, so I'll extend this courtesy for you:
It's a series of disjointed 0.0-security systems under the de-facto sovereignty of a private alliance of private corporations staffed by private individuals professing collective personal allegience to the Amarr Empire. The Amarr Empire cannot claim sovereignty of any system outside its current borders. CONCORD statutes are very clear on this. In six months, or a year, or two years, a different flag will most likely be flying over Querious. That's what 0.0 is like. ----- Andreus Ixiris CEO, Mixed Metaphor

You know, it's those arrogant fools like you who snap without regard that give Mssr. Ixiris here most of his ammunition against the Amarrian people. And you've always considered yourself so cultured...yet I see only something to be pitied.

Yes hubris, not for this tepid display today, but for all her arrogant bragging, boasting, lecturing and grandiose scheming before things all went sour on her. Had she remained true to her supposed ideals and not gotten greedy chasing after a piece of the null sec isk pie then just maybe things would have worked out differently for the treacherous witch.
Goodbye and good riddance to another loudmouthed slaver. |
