From putting Eve and Dusters in the mixer that is "Dust OB" I realized how difficult communication can be at times between players of the two games.
I think we should add a section to the forums that is accessible from both Eve and Dust. I DO NOT thing that the forums should be merged wholesale. I think that a single section could foster communications while minimizing the numerous problems that would result if the two game's forums became one in the same.

I don't even know how console people talk on PS3. I know they can talk in game with mics but I am not sure about cross platform since if it was dual PC games then you could just have TS up in the background. |

I'm referring mainly to improving out of game communication on the forums. Currently Dusters use an item called a UVT that allows them to create directly to Eve pilots who are using Eve voice in custom channels.

Why can't the dust bunnies talk on this forum the "informational portal" ?
And why would having it in game as opposed to just in a browser foster more communication?
A fair number of EVE players want a way to opt-out the dust bunnies from local chat myself included. Not sure how having a mixed forum would be of more benefit. |

Not a mixed forums, just a mixed forum section. I think if the Dusters could post in the Dust Information Portal I think that would be perfect. Currently the Dust forums and the Eve forums are completely separate.

I have a feeling the Forums are separated due to obligations to Sony. Dust forums require a PSN ID to sign in, so I think they are governed under some measure of Sony PSN policy.
Not a bad idea though, and you obviously can't stop people from having a third party forum on the web for this purpose. Speaking of which, Dust is having fansite competition, which you can read about in the Dust announcements. Of course, there is Dust514.org too, but I'm not sure what level they have gone to over there.
If someone was interested in putting a fansite together that was open to EVE and Dust players, I'd probably look at joining, and it wouldn't hurt to see how you could do in their competition. Obviously, it is something they are looking for players to invest in. zubzubzubzubzubzubzubzub |

I concur. Once CCP figures out a way to provide an incentive to capsuleers to join DUST corps, then we will need a unified area that keeps each other up to date on events happening in each game. (I.E. erver issues, events, etc) |
