I would agree with you, but I don't. Since caps are loosing drones for self defense and have to rely on lesser ships now for protection then the reverse is true- What goes down must go up as well.
Frigs should no longer be able to kill a BS, their little ittbbitty weapons should do 1 points of damage to anything thats not another frig or small drone (5 points of damage to a cruiser/BC). No more 15 minute rifter solo kills for a BS, you got to bring 200 rifters to kill 1 BS as they self rep it back. Hulks will no longer be able to be soloed by a rifter in lowsec, even if that exhumer pilot was an idiot to bring it in.
Destroyers, remove 1/3 of their guns (5 max) and increase their base hitpoints a bit. They should be up gunned frigs, not weak cruisers in size with frig hitpoints. Oh, and following this change you will no longer be able to pop a hulk with a thrasher cause there will be a signature size hit to larger vessels (larger vessels should be beefier, smaller weapons just put alot of small holes in things so it should take alot of time to destroy a hulk), you will have to bring 50 destroyers to get 1 hulk.
Cruisers are no longer the weapon of choice for PVP, you will now do about 100 points of damage to a BS. At minimum you should need 6 friends in cruisers to take down a a BS.
Battlecruisers now become the destroyer of EVE. And I don't mean the prefered gods of PVP, I mean freaking EVE destroyers. Cut in half to hitpoints, they are now the new glass cannon. A single BC should be able to overcome a BS, but the BS will have a good chance to take it down as quickly as a destroyer is fried now. Bring 2 BC and you win against a single BS.
BS should be the standard of warfare. They should be the kings of combat and the only things that should be able to take them out is either another BS, capitals, or a freaking swarm blob of 200 rifters (if it works with hurricanes to SC, then it should be the same thing), they should be able to effectively eliminate all cruisers and BC now matter how fast they try to orbit. Another BS should be like slowly punching a thich rock wall with a jackhammer, slow but steady and you will get their eventually.
Non-combat ships from industrials to exhumers and freighters get a huge ******* bonus to hitpoints. In the area of a several million hitpoints to freighters to several hundred for industrials cause now its going to take a small blob of Arttyapocs to gank them. These things die so easy anyway, might as well boost their non-combat role in the process of lol-increasing the rest.
tl,dr? Smaller ships loose offensive ability vs bigger targets. I mean, they really loose offensive ability and its like punisher is your shooting EM/Therm damage on a T1 shield (armored tank hull though) that has 99% resist when in fact it has no modules. Your little puny ships will be no match for it except in numbers, cause CCP really fixed the blob issue as a hole and they actually just deversified it....Numbers > Numbers....who ever brings the most wins regardless of ship type (SC where just really thick walls before, now that your fleets will require small ships to protect those walls your adding in 2 meter thermal vents to exploit with smaller ships and lol we all know numbers of people can counter hokey religions so its just still going to be massive numbers of people blobbing and who can get back into the fight quicker.
Yeah and all these suggestions are just trolling. Effectively requiring you to bring smaller ships still does not fix blob warfare, its still a static-dynamic of who ever brings the most, who ever gets back the fastest, and which ever side manages to destroy the supply of smaller ships first then focus on the larger ships. |
