Matthew97 Dat Tax 181	Posted - 2013.05.21 15:41:00 - [1] - Quote Hey, I know theres a launcher thread already but seeing as I don't want this to get lost in that here's the workaround: If the launcher isn't working and running through the bin folder (EXEFile) yields a "Incompatible (Protocol) Issue then try this (worked for me:) 1. Open the EvE Folder 2. Locate "Common (Or Common.ini if you have file extensions) 3. Change the build= line to build=538542 4. Save and Close 5. Run the repair tool (Repair or repair.exe) 6. Once complete run eve via the Bin/exefile.exe file. 7. Should work! Regards -Matt Run level 4 missions? Don't want to salvage? Hmm, are you running as Admin? Mine did sit at "starting" for a few minutes before it kicked in. Run level 4 missions? Don't want to salvage? Changed back build= to the value in sync= which caused my exefile.exe to at least trigger some patches. The automatic launcher update caused by THAT apparently fixed things.

Well, it "could" be if people don't know how to computer :) I"m on Win 7 and this worked for me an hours ago when I posted on another thread. Just have to run it multiple times :)

Do you have the number that you changed it to? I've the same issue as you, except i didn't take a nite of the Build= number i replaced, like a tit - now my exe file is borked....

I am running as administrator, now i just get an error message of some folder extension, anyone able to help? I have changed the build, just trying to get the repairer to run.

Copy the sync= value to the build= value triggered an update after running the exefile. However, when eve attempted to reboot, an exception popped up saying "No connection could be made to the content server. Please make sure that your Internet connection is up and restart the Launcher." Clicked start eve > Incompatible Protocol.

Yeah I went off to do other things and sometime later the repair tool popped up out of nowhere. Been sitting on 'starting' for about 10 minutes now, but so far the furthest along I've gotten in this total clusterfuck of an update. Fingers crossed and thanks OP for posting. You will skip launcher crap that no one wants anyway and go strait to normal old log in page. CCP no one is giving flying fck about shiny launcher we just want to play game and have fast log in ,not some shiny bs that is for hello kitty kind games.
