It might be that you are not far off, but a bit more details would be awesome:-)

I only have knowledge of high-sec PI. Yields are pretty variable, depending upon how good your deposits are. My PI alts are 4/4/4 planetology/advanced planetology/upgrades.
I can make small amounts of consumer electronics, precious metals and coolant using three-day cycles on single planet. Generally around 50-150 units per day. Could probably do better but it's designed for minimal time spent. At other times, I have made superconductors and polytextiles on single planets by swapping out the material being extracted. This takes a bit more time, but not too much.
There are also numerous planets in high-sec that are good for water/oxygen/industrial fibers: a single extractor setup can yield 6-15K P0 resources/hr using three-day cycles. Add 3-4 factories and haul output every few weeks for sale.
The profits are decent enough for minimal routine effort once your initial investment is made. For me, the key is producing goods that net profit at Jita prices after accounting for export taxes. Some goods don't yield enough after export to bother with (bacteria, for example). YMMV, ofc. |

You can get high rates in high sec, the problem usually is the number of other people extracting as well. The lower sec you go, the higher the extraction rates, and generally the fewer people competing for the same products.
With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Truesec of the system have also effect on resource replenish which affects extraction rates. WH have truesec -1 which means that in wh you have planets like in best nullsec but they are just for you although you need some serios logistic effort to haul your production.
I mostly did PI in null/WH and you can plex account with all three alts on lvl4 skills on minimum effort (5min daily to reset extractors once a week export products).
From what i read general rule is that if you extract 1 in HS youll have 2 in LS and 4 in NS/WH. |

thx for yourhelp on average I would say you get about double the extraction in low as you do in high. Null sec is about double again, it gets better the lower the true sec is, but there is a big jump from 0.5 to 0.4, and again from 0.1 to 0.0. |

All planets within the same sec status band are by no means equal. Once you identify a resource you want to extract, it pays to poke around several nearby planets looking for the one with the best draw rates. Once you get above the P1 level, you will find that most PI products require a mix of common and rare resources. The common ones are easy to get and aren't worth spending a lot of time optimizing, but the rare ones are very much worth hunting down the best possible sources for. Things like felsic magma, autotrophs, and reactive gas. |

thx for yourhelp Noble Metals/Lowsec 0.1/40K per hours. Noble Metals/Null/+60K per hour. |

Zap Zarrap wrote:... but a bit more details would be awesome:-)... I was able to ship about 800M ISK per month of PI goods to Highsec a month from my lowsec operation... using two toon with good skills and a support toon.
In null my set-up was producing about 140000 Enriched Uranium (8K per unit) and 70000 Coolant (7K per unit) per month.
1.1B Enricher Uranium + 500M Coolant per month = 1.6B per month.... Gross not net.
One perfect PI toon, one very good one, and a factory toon.
Issues
Lowsec: pirates (often) and being blockaded by PL (for a week). Shipping Black Frog. Null: shipping, shipping, and shipping. |
