How can I view the contents of a particular POCO or NPC custom house when out of system?
When I use the Assets search it does not show the system in question.

They are in your facility on the planet itself, which can indeed be viewed from "outside the system". "He has mounted his hind-legs, and blown crass vapidities through the bowel of his neck."-á - Ambrose Bierce on Oscar Wilde's Lecture in San Francisco 1882 |

Currently not possible I'm afraid, I don't leave goods in any CO now anyway just in case someone comes along and blows it up...
EDIT: The customs office window stays open once you have accessed it even if you jump system, but not sure if you can arrange transfers to/from planet-side still...would need to test that one |

Why in God's Name are you storing things in a POCO ??????? That could vanish rather quickly.
Discouraging storage in a POCO is probably the reason CCP left this "non-ability" in the game....for our own protection from a bad decision. "He has mounted his hind-legs, and blown crass vapidities through the bowel of his neck."-á - Ambrose Bierce on Oscar Wilde's Lecture in San Francisco 1882 |

Anything at all having to do with the POCO can only be done within that system. Period. "He has mounted his hind-legs, and blown crass vapidities through the bowel of his neck."-á - Ambrose Bierce on Oscar Wilde's Lecture in San Francisco 1882 |

I just can't be bothered to ship stuff every day, so the poco is handy to get it off the planet. I've not lost anything yet, and if I do, it will be at most a couple of hundred mil. I'd hardly call that high risk. The Indecisive Noob - A new EVE Fan Blog for news and stuff. |

Who said high risk ???????
You. Not me.

This might actually be a nice add-on for Eve Mentat (assuming it can't already track non-market assets like PI facilities). Of course, I somehow doubt POCO hangar contents are availalbe to the API. "Blow it all on Quafe and strippers." --- Sorlac |

(ed: Also, we are all thrilled for your financial security in EVE Online. A couple of hundred million is quite significant to newer players though). New players probably won't have a couple of hundred mil in storage. If you are running PI for profit, what you have will probably be a fraction of your profit, so it scales with your wealth. The great part about newbie PI is that most of what you store will have been extracted and built on the planet (as it usually takes a fair bit of capital to start a factory chain) and so what they risk is potential profit rather than isk they already own.
And no, you did not say "high risk", but your reaction "Why in God's Name are you storing things in a POCO ???????" made it seem like it was an unthinkable error of judgement to store anything in a POCO. It's not. It's very common and very useful to be able to do. The Indecisive Noob - A new EVE Fan Blog for news and stuff. |

Nullsec I store Mats I need for production inside the POCO so that when the system gets camped, I just undock, head to a safe point, cloak, import/export my PI, then redock. Between planetary storage and the POCO I have a +5 day supply of PI mat for my factory planets. I have never been camped longer than that.
Perhaps I have just been lucky, but few seem to enjoy structure bashing and if less enjoy bashing POCOs. The aren't very high on the bashing list.
Highsec I have started some Nanite production. I store some P0 mats in the POCO; and while someone might destroy the RvB POCO... (that isn't likely)... the value of 2M units of P0 isn't that great.

Why exactly is it a bad decision? for one it means a whole hell of a lot less hauling. There are tons of situations where the risk of losing the poco is slim to none. "CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"

You are the only person I have ever known in almost 4 years of PI to say so. Ever.
In fact, my "reaction" is just restating the unanimous opinion from a previously duplicate thread of this same subject about 90 days ago. "He has mounted his hind-legs, and blown crass vapidities through the bowel of his neck."-á - Ambrose Bierce on Oscar Wilde's Lecture in San Francisco 1882 |

I know from experience that this is a dead wrong statement.
I've done my PI in dead-end Ammater for over 2 years. I would say that complete ownership of the POCO's (30 planets across 5 different systems) has changed completely about once every 8 months or so. Usually an entire system is blown up and replaced over a 48 hour period. And this is the "deadest" Low Sec area on the map.
