Hi,
Two days ago I lost a Sabre and my pod due to my ship not warping when I logged off. Last night I lost another Sabre and my pod because my ship didn't warp out when I logged, it just stayed there un-scrambled with no hostiles in sight untill someone came and destroyed it. It never warped out, it didn't disappear after 1 - 15 minutes and the pod did not disappear as it normally does when you log off. I did not log off in a fight, nor have I ever exploited the bug I just wrote about.
Anyone else getting this?

No, the closest thing to me was a gate 12km away from me.

You logged off at a gate? In 0.0? Why? Stories that begin with "I logged off at a gate in 0.0" don't usually have happy endings

I lost a malediction yesterday. Not the same bug. But a bug anyway. The dude who killed it saw me warp out twice and then pop.
Just petition it as an exploit to get some attention from the GMs. File a bug report and then ask the GM to move your petition to the reimbursemnt queue. It's the best thing you can do --- --- ---

If you were logged off, how do you know you didn't warp off? Maybe you did and someone scanned you?

I know because the killers told me, and were sorry to hear what happent. And even if they would've scanned me, my pod would've disappeared, right?

Your pod would warp off (if not in a bubble) and then disapear. It would not disapear right away.
How did you logged off? Closing the client? Hit Esc and then close? Or do you got a disconnect?
The point is that TCP connections dont have a idle timer (well, they can but dont have to. Depends what hardware is between you and the eve servers/load ballancers). If you client or OS is unable (or unwilling) to send a TCP FIN the server would not know that you closed your client and may leave you online (at least server site and that way for all other players).

In Empire? That would rule interdictors out.

Edited by: prof0und l0gic on 24/06/2006 05:35:23 This is happened to me and my Friend both and we can confirm. I nearly lost a raven and he DID lose a raven, all because it didn't log off when you do. Mine happened durring "Guristas Spies lvl 4" I got booted off while attacking a non scrambling spawn, logged back in with 60% armor and managed to stay long enough to kill a bs and warp. My friend, was ratting and got booted off too. When he did he said people witnessed his raven just sitting there in space, unscrambled and unwebbed, just not warping, they tryed to help him but he lost it. This is what I would deffinitley call a bug.
