After Phoebe launched the cosmic signature popups in space got removed (These Image ). The popups were extremely useful for probing and made probing significantly faster than it is now since you could tell from the difference of these two numbers which sites/wormholes the signature could contain. For example in high-sec if the difference was ~7.9 the signature was either unrated complex, high class wormhole, wormhole to null or data/relic site. Is it possible to get these two distance numbers included in to the new signatures? |

Are you sure you are not mixing the distance to the signature to the information in the screenshot I linked in my original post? Atleast my probe scanner window only shows the distance to the signature which is not the information in the pre-Phoebe cosmic signature popup. ( Probe scanner ) |

It's virtually the same information, and functionally it is the same.
The only substantial difference between the two screenshots is that one uses a right click menu and the other has pretty buttons.
It's fine, I scan every time I log in and I have no complaints other than the fact scanning is a little boring.

The distance range which was visible in the pre-Phoebe popup. In the screenshot seen as "5,2AU - 12.5AU" and from the difference of those numbers (7.3) you could see that in High-sec it's either 4/10 combat site, unrated complex, mid class wormhole, wormhole to lowsec or data/relic site. |

Functionally the informations are not the same. For example pre-Phoebe I am hunting for 4/10 combat sites. I jump in a system with 8 signatures, I mouse over the ranges and calculate the differences in ~5secs, then I ignore the ones which don't fit to the category I am looking for (~7.3). And I am left only 2 signatures to scan, I scan them and jump to next system to continue. Past Phoebe I have to scan every single one of the 8 signatures since I can't tell before scanning what the signatures might contain. So the change has slowed down exploration quite a bit. |

Yes. Or because most of the people didn't even know what to do with those numbers so they got removed as a side effect to the overlay cleanup. That's the thing it's a big change to exploring and there's no info why It was removed or was it removed intentionally, other than "Some cosmic signature/anomaly sites have been slightly renamed to better distinguish between them". Which leaves room for hope that it could be possible to get the information back in a simpler/cleaner form. If it was removed exactly for the reason you said then I'm fine with it and life goes on, but can't say that for sure so. |

I dont think information like that should be free in the first place, and firmly believe that what is provided by the discovery scanner is too much information.
The only thing IMO the discovery scanner should show is cosmic anomalies.

****. You can see that just from the distance? I am hilariously bad at this exploring thing. I think I need to dock up and rethink my entire life. |
