Jan VanRijkdom wrote:Unfortunately I do think the NES store current skins ships will be converted to license, so holding more than 1 may not yield further benefits other than having another copy of base ships. Yes. However, I have realised that any ship not currently for sale will in fact increase in value because of this, *if not re-released*. As most owners will go ahead and apply their license, those ships will be permanently removed from the market = fewer ships to buy = higher prices. In addition, a guy with 5 bn isk to his credit would rather buy his dream ship for 1 bn isk if it is a licence so he knows he can fly it and never lose it. Which means higher demand from first-time buyers = higher prices.
And I think I misunderstood what the CCP spokesperson meant with some ships losing their uniqueness. I took it to mean that some ships that are now limited in numbers would be resold or redistributed. But probably she simply meant that some skin ships would go from being one "unique" ship to one licence, without any form of re-release.
To sum up, after this thread I am now optimistic about price developments :) (until they start re-releasing sh*t) |

Marsan wrote:It's entirely clear you cansell licenses.
???? your own post says its permanent once applied.
Marsan wrote: The devblog states:
"With the new SKIN system you will buy a license to use a specific design or pattern for a ship. You then apply that license to your character and then your character will be licensed to use that design whenever you wish. For now the licenses are permanent and cannot be removed from your character once applied. Even if your character loses their pod and dies or jump clones around they still have the license to use all their SKINs. The licenses themselves can still be traded on the market, contracts, and all other ways before being applied to your character."
So what is likely to happen is your ship with a special paint will turn into a ship and a license. You can then sell the license if you want or apply it.
could be already applied ships = insta learned too. seeing as they are only really replacing the blueprint with the license.
nothing in the blogs say anything about already purchased ships? i cbf looking. |

Yes, incomprehensibly it would seem to to your chagrin some players have lots of isk invested in ships under the current system, as a collectible or means of holding isk as an asset.
OP is simply asking a reasonable question. Nothing too hard to understand, and certainly something that makes you look childish for getting your panties twisted about. Doesn't make any sense.
Unfortunately I do think the NES store current skins ships will be converted to license, so holding more than 1 may not yield further benefits other than having another copy of base ships.
I can't see any reason for your white knight post either? looking forward to posting in your upcoming bond thread.
this is a pseudo manipulation thread, hence why i am here.

I have no interest in Bonds for myself. Too much work to be held responsible.
The reason for my post is I can't stand people who feel the need to have a problem with something for no good reason. It is simply irritating people, (you're not unique, don't worry), who insist on getting offended or getting upset for no reason, and simply are attention whores.
You're entitled to your opinion, but your demeanor is very sophomoric. That's all. I simply wished to put in a word for the OP who you decided to blast in a manner of pseudo superiority. I'm all for being right when you're right, but we're discussing opinions and you took up to berating a very simple concept and question as if you couldn't comprehend why it was being asked.
I think it is a very relevant topic that I am surprised wasn't/isn't being discussed more, as it could affect a lot of holdings.
