My husband and corp mates think I should give logi piloting a shot since my playing style seems to match that of a logi pilot's. However I am not really sure how I should set it up or anything. I figured this would be a good place to ask and get lots of opinions.
Thank you very much for your help! *KoKo* |

First and most important thing you will ever want to do as a (logi) pilot:
SET YOUR FREAKING OVERVIEW UP CORRECTLY.
Getting a pre-set from one of the many good ones out there is a good start, but you will always want to customise the view to what you want it to look like. Maybe you don't wanna see friendly frigates because you're not going to rep those anyway: who knows.
Everything else is just common sense, follow your anchor, if you're the anchor then have a clue where your fleet is, make sure cap-chain, yadda yadda.
There's also two main styles of logi, dictated by the different ships:
1. Heavy logistics (guardian/basilisk)
These are slow, high resist, high ehp sluggers that rep for large amounts and are almost certainly found in at least a pair. They rely on a partner to keep themselves fed with cap and thus are fairly immobile as they need to stay within a relatively small range to enable cap transfer to continue.
This is what you want in an extended engagement with many ships involved.
2. Skirmish logistics (oneiros/scimitar)
These are almost the polar opposite, able to be fast and agile however sacrificing rep power, hp and ewar resistance to get that. These ships can be huge force multipliers for a small roaming fleet. Usually a fleet with a pair of these ships will almost always take down a similarly sized one without them.
They can even be used solo, however it's not an easy feat and also have FAR higher skill requirements compared to the heavy logistics, logi 5 is basically a requirement to fly these. |

This is pretty much spot on. If you are not sure about if you will like it or not, get good skill in the shield and armor remote rep and try it out a bit with frigs/T1 cruiser. The T2 logi ships only really become useful after Logi IV has been trained and discovering you dislike the playstyle at that point is kind of a waste. |

Also learning about the fleet window, fleet watch list and Broadcast history is a must when people are using broadcasts to request reps. Pro Tip, you can change the colours of the broadcasts to make seeing things easier.
If they scream at you on comms for reps you let those suckers die. . like really let them die... those people are the worst.
The only other thing is to make sure you don't accidentally start repairing the enemy targets if you try to get on kill mails at the same time.
completely unrelated. o/ Hi Sis.
