I have been trying my best to search for the topics I am looking for, but alas most have been "locked indefinitely" for some reason or other.
So my main question is simple, How dose one get the opportunity to discuss an topic they want when the threads keep getting locked?
I see many locked threads about cloaky camping, but the only open one is about how it has been discussed to death.
I found a few threads about what qualifies as harassment, all that had anything I was interested in commenting on were locked.
How is a person to open any kind of meaningful discussion when they either get grieved to death for asking a question followed shortly their after by the topic getting locked??? |

The topic is a dead horse. Having dozens of threads about it is pointless. If or if not devs read through it is not of our concern, because we can't tell if they do ... or not.
The topic serves as trashcan for all those people who make a new thread about it. If you have anything to say, then post there.
Thinking it's "YOUR" idea that is valid and has the potential to change the mechanics in a meaningfull way ...
.... hahahahahha

My point here is that there are many issues that I would like to discuss, not just cloaky camping but many other game mechanics that are questionable.
for example, Trade hubs. or as I refer to them Gank hubs. worthless places as far as I am concerned.
HS extortionists. these people prey on HS by breaking the rules. and yet it is allowed.
Many actions in eve would appear to be violations of the TOS, and yet they are allowed. and with that I await the locked topic. |

Many actions in eve would appear to be violations of the TOS, and yet they are allowed. and with that I await the locked topic. There are a couple of options:
1. report rule breaking behaviour and wait for an official response from a GM
2. open a new thread, but don't make it a rant. Try to take a new or interesting angle on your subject that opens it up to discussion
3. find an existing topic that is on topic and if it is closed, report it to the iSDs asking for it to be opened again
Threads autolock after 60 days of no activity. That doesn't mean they have to remain locked. You can ask for thm to be unlocked again.

What does that sound like to you?
Not to mention a solo cruiser can take over a structure if it is not attacked, so spread out cruisers all over a region and attack all the structures. Griefers are going to love the new system to harass Null SOV without intending to actually take and defend it.

that is my point, you have groups that take time, effort and isk to upgrade a system, and now any noob with the right frig can come take sov away? sorry but that would seam to be going backwards. |

that is part of what I don't understand, how is anyone supposed to defend a system ? from what I have seen they would have to keep a defence fleet logged in and ready to fight 23/7.

I'm not saying that. the rules are there for a reason. whats the point of bothering with them if they are just going to be changed because a new player wants to fly carriers or be able to kill a player that has been playing for many years.
I get that changes are needed from time to time to keep the game exciting, but honestly I don't see how any of the sov changes are going to do anything but make null sec industry a pointless effort. |

This thread is the dumbest thing ever. Sorry it's true. 1. Cloaky Camping is vastly over rated. Unsuccessful at Everything has written a large peice that holds true in my (limited) expirience with it.
2. You don't like Trade hubs. Ok don't go to them.
3. HS Extortionists breaking rules -- ? I have never seen this. I have seen ignorance of the rather specific rules that govern highsec and people abusing them. That may warrant a topic but I have not seen unpunished -breaking- of rules.
4. You will have to give examples, and I assume they will be examples that infact do not break any rules. I would reiterate there are the "practical" rules and the "actual" rules. Only one group is usually enforced, in society and in games. (When was the last time you saw someone ticketed for J-walking) |
