The OP linked the source. Click on it, then click the blue bit at the top, takes you to twitter. It's not my fault you don't internet.
"All you have to do is click the link, click the other link, and scroll through the replies to find it" OP didn't link your source. To which you didn't even refer to when you mentioned it. It's that hard for you to say you made a mistake? Wow dude. did I? Maybe I'm stubborn, but i quite remember someone telling me that I can't read because they didn't have the sense to link their context the first time.
That's not stubborn, it's dumb.
While harping on my lack of posting a link that already existed, did it ever occur to you to maybe not post incorrect information in the 1st place? Maybe learn to wait till you know what you are talking about before posting?
But hey, if it makes you feel better to not confront your mistake but rather blame me, it's ok kid, you'll grow out of that one day...maybe. |

Sigh.. all this raging over icons. Another successful CAM thread.
DCU changed. No F***s given. BCU/MTE/MTC have new different icons. Still, no F***s given.
If theyre passive modules, i dont see them anyway, theyre hidden. If theyre active mods, i dont care what they look like, as long as they do what they say they do.
The new MTE/MTU could look like an erect thorax for all i care. Spend more time playing the game than staring at icons.

This is what you ignorantly posted.

Had you actually clicked on things and read before posting, you would not have posted that. I am and was correct, you were and are incorrect, not the end of the world as we all get things wrong from time to time, but rather than being butt hurt you should be using this to learn how to be better. Take a second and think/examine before posting next time. Have a good day man. |

Take a second and think/examine before posting next time. Have a good day man. oh, I see. You think I'm whining on the fact that you vaguely stated something and got snippity when people thought you were referring to something you weren't, because you didn't bother to mention you were on a different subject than them.
So, in summary, you are upset because someone called you out on being vague and unclear, and you are trying to maintain some sort of aggressive posture by throwing out a source further beyond what was linked (and sub-linked) after you made the claim. Not to mention the vagueness of the original claim. All so you could come back around and say,"lol read you dumbs", instead of just linking the further source you used and clarifying your original statement. But, loike you said, this is the internet. I should have expected that kind of snippy attitude. My bad on that part. |

To be honest i'm kinda ''sick and tired'' of all those new changes over the last year .And then i am talking about changes that don't actually change anything but just give it a ''different feel or look'' so not the balancing of ships and such things because that is actually improving the game.
Stop ''changing stuff'' for the sake of change and focus more on ''improving stuff'' , there's so many actuall gameplay that need some love instead.
Just for once CCP , don't fix what ain't broken and fix that wich is horribly broken.

I get it a bit better with those images, and don't think it looks bad in itself, but it very clearly isn't as visually straightforward about what it does or effects as the current BCS icon IMHO.
Still, don't really have an issue with it. Will still gladly fit the new mods and BCSs where appropriate . |

It's the "all new EA infiltrated CCP", change for the sake of change, annoy, p-off long and get rid of the old (crybaby) customers and hopefully new ones will stream in like an avalanche.
So far I'd say they are doing a damn fine and good job on getting rid of customers and if that's the plan who are we to complain?
About the icons, we where warned they would do this.
CCP Darwin wrote:No, this is not a joke.
Icon art, like all other elements of EVE's graphics and UI, is always on the table for review. As it happens, replacing the "suitcase" with something that better fits the theme of EVE has been on various to-do lists, as I understand it, for several years.
I admit that the first time I ever fit a damage control I spent a few seconds scratching my head trying to figure out "Why a suitcase?" before shrugging and fitting the module.
No, don't take this change to mean that all your module icons will be changing in the immediate future. This one's a one-off. That's not to say that module icon art may not change in the future, but this one change isn't part of a bigger overhaul. Link

Do you, and the other people like you, who ***** about things like this even play the game for the strategy involved. Or just sit in front of your monitor staring at icons and then moan on the forums because the DCU changed from a suitcase to something else that is slightly more futuristic looking?
Is this the new meta? Icon liason? If you quit or leave because CCP changed an icon then good. You were probably worthless anyway. Last i checked CCP is introducing new missile mods and tweaking missiles which has been asked for since i came back playing EVE. After CCP royally screwed missiles they finally are addressing a previous mistake. Then theres SOV, module tiericide, all of which take time to get right.
Do you even venture into F&I or just jump on every CAM bitchfest?

Sov was considered in that way, so I guess that counts, Fleet warping as well. But yes, for the most part, this ^^^ A lot of the art was fine. There are parts that have been complained about, such as the space background for the Forge and Lonetrek being really bright and a bit of a hindrance to visual gameplay, but mostly, the things that keep a player onboard will be real gameplay, depth, and such. The visual 'wow' wears off quickly if not accompanied by good gameplay and mechanics. |

Well, I'm about as carebear as they come, but I agree with you on that sentiment. OH'ing has saved my ass more times than I care to remember.
I too am a little confuzzled by the icons. On the one hand, I appreciate CCP's efforts, but to put it bluntly these icons don't really look like they have anything to do with missiles or guidance. To be honest, I'm not even really sure what they look like. How much more of this game are we gonna have to unlearn and relearn by the end of this year?
