My AMD drivers keep crashing, still windows 10 is able to restore them so i can continue playing but after a good amount of crashes (had 10 or so today within a few minutes) windows blocked the Exefile from accessing the amd drivers and so i needed to restart the client. The crashes usually take place in anomalies and in all DED complexes but i alsoo had a few during near a gate, sometimes it is only one crash sometimes there are so many in a short period of time that, like i said, windows just stops restoring the drivers.
Catalyst version: 15.20.1062 Hardware: Sapphire Radeon 5830 HD 1GB AMD Phenom X4 955 BE 8 GB DDR3 RAM DX9 in launcher settings
Ingame settings: Everything turned off except effects HDR and resource chache enabled AA and shadows disabled shaders, lod, post processing and textures on high Im ususally bypassing the launcher by starting exefile.exe directly |

This is happening to me after the last big update maybe 2 weeks ago?
My screen flickers a bunch now and I knew it was the display drivers having an issue. Last night was my first crash with the display "drivers not responding and have been refreshed " message, but that kicked one of my clients offline with Eve not responding message.
Ingame friends said it was a new known issue, and happens around star gates and I space structures/in PoS. It's a huge problem and I'm sure has something to do with new added textures or something.
Please help with this! Game crashing is a serious issue!
Will try clear cache and stuff also. |

This error message has always been due to some hardware error, and most likely is not eve related. Chances are there have been some improvement to the eve graphic engine, and a 6 years old card like the 5830HD is simply overheating, causing driver failures
try using a program like "gputemp" or anything that can give you graphic card temp, if it goes over 80-¦C you probably have a cooling issue I'm going to assume you never cleaned up you card, but you need to remove the dust from inside, it sticks to cooling system like a magnet
also try do reduce the load : no HDR, and no option in "high", or change your graphic card. 5830 is also directx 11 native (one of the first) maybe using directx 11 could help
I haven't see any complaint about that in this forum in the past weeks, if it persists you will need to open a support ticket
@Koston Eld : what's your conf, and did these friend report it ?

I have been having the same issues - and to be honest am getting very annoyed with them - they often seem to happen on some sort of session change - gates/wormholes or when I come out of warp. It definitely is not an old hardware issue for me I am running an amd 8350 8core processor with 16gb RAM and a new AMD R9 380 4gb Graphics card. Lost count of how many times it has crashed today this is not acceptable. |

Sorry you're having issues too but I'm glad I'm not the only one. This absolutely came about after the last patch about two weeks ago. I have brand-new motherboard memory SSD graphics card and processor in my computer, and never had a graphic stutter or specially no driver stopped responding message until this last patch. CCP has been tweaking a lot of pictures and graphics recently, and something they did within the last patch caused a serious issue with AMD video cards.
I've updated on my drivers double checked everything ran the repair tool deleted the cash. Nothing helps and my game is almost unplayable at this point. My graphics stutter and computer crashes more when I have three clients running out of time, but even with two running setting the game at decent graphics I still get disconnects.
Last night I turned off a lot of the glut graphics check boxes, and set everything to medium or low end, which almost makes the game not worth playing since everything looks so terrible.
I really hope the fix is in the works because of this continues I'm really at a loss of what to do.
All of my other games run fine with high graphics settings and this did start to weeks ago with the new update. It's something eve side and I hope they come with a fixed soon because I can't take crashing my computer shutting to blue screen very much more.

please
I asked in this thread, and 1 or 2 other about
Download this http://www.gputemp.com/ open it, it will show a graph launch eve, run around and do thing for 10 - 20 minutes, or until it crashes
and screenshot the graph, upload it to imgur or something and give it here
and you talk about crash, ok. but now it's also disconnects, and stuterring. and also multiple client. now we are getting somewhere
In my experience, multiple client will kill your game experience. tell me what is your graphic mode : Fullscreen Fixed Windows Windowed?
please don't run Full screen it you run fixed mode or windowed mode, please try my script here : https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=6089640#post6089640 (post #2 for classic launcher, or the one linked to beta launcher)
this will help you : it minimize background client, so they don't consume CPU/GPU Resources. I'm using for my laptop which has an mobile nvidia gpu, you can feel the difference in fps, and noise level of the fan
Quote: My graphics stutter and computer crashes more when I have three clients running out of time That here, this is temperature/load related. |

I have been running 2-3 clients for many months now and no problems. I run amd gpu tweak a lot and temps stay from 32 up to max of 52-54 maybe. The day after the newest patch and my screen goes to colorful static for a second then back to normal a few times then the crash to blue or black screen comes.
I also run in windowed mode. Turned graphics WAY down so Eve looks real bad to see if that will help.
It even said a few times display drivers stopped responding and have recovered, but that usually freezes one if my clients up or just freezes the while comp. The day after the big game update with graphical and texture changes and then a problem like this starts happening? I think it's too convenient to try to blame on my hardware and rather something new added that the hardware is struggling with.
I'll post my specs when I get home but I really run with decent hardware at this point and never have a problem on higher graphics intensive games run it max. |

once again: HEAT and NEW STUFF have no link altogether, old stuff or new stuff can overheat (and the mutlclient doesn't help)
you can have all new stuff and it will overheat, for just an evolution in the eve 3D engine doing more shinny or bumpy or flashy
sure a engine error for ATI (and intel HD graphic) may be cause by Eve engine, but this unlikely, latest ati driver is from begining of july; maybe it is the last driver from ati that is in cause? try previous one.
but let me ask you what is your game "interfleave" setting in graphiics: none or 1 ?
multiclient must be set to 1 (to prevent nuclear meltdown) : it limits graphics computation to 1 image per screen refresh
otherwise each client try to go as fast as they can to render frames, event the one behind.
if you changed screen to some high speed (more than 60Hz), the result may be the same as interfleave 1, unfortunately there is no 2 or 3
to give you an example, on my gaming rig, single client, no interleave I get 450fps, with interleave I get 60fps. without interleave, my GTX970 bought 3 month ago is getting a whooping 78-¦C, at interleave 1, I have 60-62-¦C
do I need 450fps? lol no.
with multiple client and interleave 1, almost 55 fps each (even in background), I don't reach 60fps and temp is rising almost as high as 75-¦C with reducing automatically clients in background, 60fps stable on the displayed client, and 60-62-¦C
once again heat is the death of graphic card, check your temp, roll back driver just in case.
All i'm saying in these post : do tests !! nothing can be from just your post, hard facts, state of things, like your exact perf and how much temp there is... it's call a diagnostic, like in medecine. except there is no placebo I'm not saying it's your hardware, I could care less, I'm just trying to help you figure out what's wrong

all seems fine on hardware specs, find your GC model (there is 2 years difference between 27x and 28x but still post 2011)
that is more than enough hardware wise to run 3 or 10 client.
but read my post just above, high end hardware can still heat, especially under high load or wrong settings

I'm having the exact same issue. Windows 10. AMD Drivers are the latest. Card is R9 290X with oversized watercooling. No OC.
It's more than annoying, I lost two expensive ships because of that. The first one was reimbursed and now it's been 5 days that I'm waiting for an answer from support to the second one.
This issue only occurs in Eve.

I am having the same issues:
i7-6700 Gigabyte Gaming G7 mobo 32 GB ram 2x AMD Radeon R9 290X (Crimson 15.12 drivers) Windows 10 Pro 3x Dell U2414H 1920x1080 (no Eyefinity)
I like to run two clients borderless on two of my monitors and recently I have been unable to do so. Within 1-5 minutes of combat, the graphics driver crashes, refreshes, and then either one client or all three monitors go dark. It seems to happen more often with missile boats but I have tried running with all graphics turned down and it makes no difference. It also makes no difference if both toons are in combat or if one is watching a WH.
The only fix is a complete reboot. I have a partial work-around by using a laptop nearby for the second client, but even then sometimes the single client will crash on the desktop.
To everyone saying it's bad hardware--stop. It isn't. I have no overclocks and have stress-tested my CPU, GPUs, and PSU for stability. I also play lots of games and this is the only one with issues. The issue is the combination of the Crimson drivers and EVE.
I can set my GPU fans to 90% and the temp won't get above 50-60 C and the game will still crash. Or I could load up Crysis 3, BF4, SW:BF, TW3, Rainbow Six:Siege, or any other graphically intense game and play it for hours with no issue. The only instability is inside of EVE. |

This is pretty much the same thing I've gone through with me as well, except I'm running on the 15.7 drivers and am still having the same problem as this. Can play Fallout 4 literally all day with no issues, SC2, Star Citizen, and the UT alpha. The problem seems to be exclusive to Eve and for the life of me I cannot figure out the cause.
However, I MIGHT have a possible fix: turn off all effects, HDR, and resource caching. You can keep everything else on high and I've had it fairly stable so far but I can't promise this would work for everyone. |

Would be nice to see some sort of patch to fix this, I exactly got the same issue as all above, in small/medium fights, also when having session change after a jump, I see fps going from something like 140/150 fps to 10/20 fps (intervalle imediate). In intervalle one, it goes from 60/70 fps to 1/2 fps. In big fights, it become totaly unplayable cause Tidy + driver Crashes, and when drivers don't crashes I have those so low fps that make me crazy. I had a R9 280X one month ago that was a bit more playble in final, and I feel so bad putting like 350Gé¼ in a 390 Nitro 8G thinking to have better experience in eve.. and finaly no !
Please CCP do your best as you can but fix it. Thanks |

Also got the crashes on Sapphire TRI-X R9 290 using Radeon Software Version 15.12 - Those crashes happen when using missiles, although I can't reproduce it perfectly.
First time happened in a fleet fight using Talwars + Light Missile Launcher, but only later into the fight. Date was Dec. 19
Second time this happened with a Tengu in C2-Sleeper sites with HAMs. Deactivating missile effects prevented the crashes then. Also on Dec. 19. Issue ID: EBR-61193
Just now I tried it with a friend on SiSi - I noticed a crash when I watched a Gecko getting shot with HAMs, while a Rattlesnake shot somebody else with Cruise Missiles. I'm not sure if the Cruise Missiles were on screen. After that I asked two pilots in a Rattlesnake and a Tengu to shoot me with HAMs, but the graphic driver did not crash.
Upon asking the second Rattlesnake pilot to shoot me with Cruise Missiles, my graphics driver did crash and the client got excluded from accessing the graphics driver.
Deactivating missile effects and haven't had reoccuring crashes.
A second client on Tranquility did not crash and ran fine. |

Well I have spent the last few weeks trying to make sure this is not my system and after doing everything apart from removing windows and completing a fresh install I am at the end of what I can do ...
I have turned off HDR removed all of the Effects and I am still crashing ... not as much but I am still crashing.
I just don't understand how I can go from years of stable triple clients at full graphic content to now having to drop the graphic quality and still have issues.
I am not sure if you guys are logging this as an issue with CCP but I will have a go at doing that today. |

Right, just made a detailed bug report with logserver file, windows logbook entries and timestamps of errors. It still feels a bit... I mean these errors Only happen with EVE Online, but is it driver or game related? Or a tragic mix of both which will mean AMD says CCP have to fix it, and CCP says AMD has to fix it. |

Also on an AMD Raedon graphics card that was having some severe framerate lag. What has been my workaround, it's not perfect but it's going better than it was. Crimson is not a happy setup for the Eve game client....
I removed completely the Raptr (sp?) files, as it was causing major game hitching just at launching alone, and making further messes once I was playing.
Flipped the Launcher back to using DX9 again. There's been several graphic issues in Eve since I started that going to the DX9 setting solves, at least short term. Don't know why DX11 and Eve don't get along all they time, but they do Not like each other at random updates.
And... I'm refusing any more driver updates, to keep from bolluxing up what's sort of working.
Currently using Windows 7 for my OS, and I open the tower side once a month to clean out any bust or gunk buildup to avoid an overheat. Just because my card is new doesn't mean dusty card overheat murder can't happen.
If any of that helps others, wonderful. If not, sorry it's the best I've come up with so far.

Rolling back to Catalyst 15.11.1 solves all crashing problems for me both in W7 and W10, its strictly a software issue and there is nothing me(us) as normal users can do about it. This is on CCP and AMD. EVE Online cannot run stable with Crimson drivers either in Windows 10 or 7 for me. And no its not a hardware issue, its strictly restricted to CCP and AMD software not working correctly together, there are no other factors in this.
