Hello,
there is yet a topic from 2012, which is pretty clear:
https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=627078
I would like anyway to clarify something if possible.
As a rule of thumb, the biggest the ship, the best Sec Status reward. So while roaming in Low Sec asteroids belt, you can meet:
NPC General, Battleship: +0.2% NPC Commander, Battleship: +0.2% NPC Clone Soldier Trainer, Cruiser (rare, drops Gold NPC Tag), : +0.3% NPC Clone Soldier Recruiter, Cruiser (rare, drops Bronze NPC tag): +0.2%
NPC Battlecruiser: +0.16% NPC Cruiser: +0.07%
You need to wait 5minutes between one relevant kill and another to stack them (if you kill two Generals in 4 minutes you only get one stack). This way I can improve about 0.5 sec status/day. Pretty slow process. Which are the possible options to make it faster?
- Skill up Fast Talk (+20% Sec Status bonus per kill) - ... anything else (Boosters, Implants, ideas)? |

You also have Mordus spawns in low sec, rare but valuable. Killing them gives a bit of sec status, and enough cash (once you sell the loot) to buy tags.
You can also run anomalies and DED sites, clearing a 6/10 typically raises my sec status by a full point (and I am trying so hard to get to -10...) and again, it will award a nice amount of ISK to buy tags. |

The classic way to announce your Neg Tenhood is to go to Jita, fit up a smartbombing Apoc Navy, and let fly when at least 20-30 ships/pods/shuttles are in range.
THAT's how you get to Neg Ten in a hurry.
If you can't afford a Navy Apoc, the classic cheapfit method was to use a Domi.

If memory serves, there's a system 2 out from hek named hrojamold or something. There's a legendary something stronghold in system. There's 2 bs's that respawn every 15 mins. In the final room(you only need kill the bs's, the gates are unlocked). Worked well for raising my sec when I ganked hulks before the retribution patch. Gist generals are the name of the bs spawn I believe, there's other bs's but they don't give the same bang for your buck.

This. Why on earth would you ever raise your sec status any other way? Masochism?
Back before there were tags for sec I once had to raise my sec status from -0.1 to 0 to get in EVE University. I still have PTSD.

For over 0, it's hunting down Clone Soldier rats and killing them. Loot the tags for resale, and find your next clone.
The other options are incursions (ugh) or L4 blitzing (ugh). If you need standings for trade purposes, your best bet is to do the horrible L4 blitz approach. (L5s with specialist knowledge, L4s for most)

Right, I meant as long as your api is not linked only losses to people who do have their api linked will show up. My noob low sec alt shows an 0-8 record on the KBs. But it is 43-12 in reality.

Gotcha, I guess I've just been lucky not one victim has had their api linked. It is mostly explorers and the occasional ratter that I hunt so that does make sense.

Confirming this. +4.0 and higher will make people immediately assume you are a harmless carebear, and lunch.
Interestingly, -10.0 makes a lot of people underestimate you too, the 'gankbear' meme is really useful at times. "Oh look, a -10, they can't fly anything except suicide gank catalysts and discophoons - wait WTF, a cyno?"

At least that's how it used to work.

Guys on last point to clarify:
the time lapse between one relevant NPC kill and another spans in my experience between 5 and 10minutes.
Is that true only in the same system? If I kill 2 NPC battleship within 4 minutes, in two different adjacent systems, do I get both the security status bonus stacks?
