I'd give a kidney for stasis web drones that were smaller and faster. What's the point if they can't go anything near the speed of the targets you're trying to web?
Smaller faster ones are already in the battleclinic database, which means they're in eve just not seeded. Would be nice...

Yeah I found it quite odd that we have S/M/L versions of everything but web drones... -----

Probably because they'd be too weak to do much. Light drones would, in all likelihood, stack to give a 33% reduction in speed with 5 of them, at best. Not very useful. ----------------------------

small web drones would be overpowered and would unbalance some ships imo. and the heavy web drones are very good in several situations.
say ur in a geddon with only 3 mid slots. solo u really can't afford to drop a propulsion mod, scram or injector so can use web drones instead. same with most shield tankers in game. the rokh with 2 web drones means 1 extra slot to tank instead of the webber even if it's not quite as effective.
also if u are in say a bs ab'ing towards a target who's at 15km hitting u hard and u need him webbed and he's doing the same speed as u, then web drones will save ur life.
personally i say leave it as it is

Small web drones would gimp faster ships since now they have a web that is always chasing after them lol Best Dressed Corp of 2006 and 2007! -Marcus TheMartin

No problem with the web drones really, its just that the new nos-nano setups need a slight nerf. They kinda remind me of dual MWD ravens.

Need small webdrones, taranis isnt fast enough, 2 light webdrones (something like -10% to speed each) would rock. _________________________________________________ Breetime

I agree, its already too easy to kill speed based ships, and heavy webber drones can catch interceptors if you release them and move properly.

You don't want to know the speeds that I have seen some intercepters run since kali came out. When you don't get enough range with covert ops 4 to lock + web an intercepter, before it is out of range, something is very very wrong.

Yeah, whoever said speed based ships are easy to kill is crazy. Try going up against a 7000m/s vagabond and tell me how easy it is to lock and hold him. But now we have battleships going 4000 m/s. Some of these nano setups are overbalanced, it's silly not to think so. Yeah, no tank, but with the HP increase from kali, it's not as big a deal. Plus, who gets a chance to lock a vagabond? Even on a recon, if you start locking one at 15km, he'll be 500km by the time the lock completes.

Actually the small and medium web drones were available on the test server a while back. It was generally agreed that they were overpowered.

That just screams for a nerf IMO. Battleships going as fast as vagas, definetly seems wrong.

A cheap setup with a t2 100mn mwd and everything else standard t1 easily does 4700m/s with a few implants and Acceleration Control IV, and that's before any gang bonuses.
/edit: Ok, so that does include 3 mwd rigs, but they're getting cheaper by the day... ------
So you're lagged out in Motsu/Saila/Aramachi, but you want that CNR? Do missions for another corp! |

As we've all said before, that's a problem with implants, not the Nanophoon. ----------------------------

In that context it does not really matter - the base speed of the nanophoon without implants is higher than that of the vaga without implants.
