May have already been suggested idk. But would be nice if they would add a heat sink module to plug into the empty space in high slots to give a bit more heat absorption. Noting fancy or overpowered, just a small assist to overheat and provide something more than an empty slot for heat absorption. Might not be a big deal, but would be nice IMHO. |

You can already do this, any module that will fit in the utility high can be used as a heatsink to absorb heat damage from overheating your guns.
You should find that this will help you understand how it works. http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Overheating_101#How_to_reduce_heat_damage
Civilized behaviour is knowing that violence is barbaric, but paying other people to do it is business.

Thanks I have read that in the past. It was just an idea for an inexpensive mod that could be used to offer alternative or better results. |

If you have an open slot in your highs you could choose not to fit a small neut and divide your guns with an open slot. That helps too but I wouldn't worry so much about that.
When you use "green" or "blue" modules they tend to overheat much slower than meta mods or tech 2 ones. Just be careful with heat. Overheat your tank at the beginning of a fight but don't overheat your guns until you can see that your opponents hull will reach zero hit points, not before.
Eve Minions is recruiting. Learn from about pvp, learn about ships and how to fly them correctly. Small gang and solo action in high, low and nullsec and w-space alike.

Thanks again for the advise. Not meaning to be unappreciative or anything. I understand that these thing can be done within the framework of the current game set-up. I was just suggesting a feature that may offer a small improvement in an area of the game. This is why I posted here, maybe I should have phrased my idea better.
My thinking for the module was a heat sink that fits in a high slot and does not take damage itself from heat while offering a reduction in heat generated damage to the surrounding modules ( idk say a 5% or whatever seems balanced ). No CPU or PG use by the new sink module so it would ease fitting; or if balance is an issue, extremely low fit requirements. The heat sink would provide modest improvement over fitting a throw away module by - helping with tight fits, modestly reduce repair bills and again give an improvement to overheat performance.
Nothing fancy just a chunk of metal (or whatever the EVE verse uses) to slap on the hull. |

Better off as a rig imo, something that gives a great bonus but uses a lot and can only fit one of, maybe made from drifter components |
