The bazaar is meant to be a place to exchange character in a safe way, for this, CCP made a strict set of rules that everyone must follow and scamming is strictly forbidden. Since the beginning of its implementation everything worked well, because CCP was enforcing the rules strictly and rapidly. However, ticket response time has recently increased to a ridiculous point, tickets take up to a month to be resolved now, because of this, scamming is developing rapidly...
Yesterday, someone got scammed out of 51B.

This guy [God Of Universe] was selling his character for what seemed to be a reasonable deal in the first place, the eveboard was showing the right amount of skillpoints. But right after the money was sent, the dude extracted all the skillpoints and sent an empty head. The ticket was created, but it will take a good 25 days for this issue to be solved (last ticket for the same issue took 26 days...) Yes the buyer will eventually get his money back, but you can do a whole lot in a month with 51B.
However, the story doesn't end here. In the meantime, someone was selling this character:

This character happens to be the one who received the money the other dude [God Of Universe] scammed. The character will probably be sent with an empty head and no skillpoints.
With what goals ? The scammer is probably going to RMT everything and run with the money, Impossible to get a trace back to his original account (assuming he has one in the first place). Those two characters were probably hacked, or someone simply decided to quit eve. By the time the ticket is going to take, minimum 2 or 3 weeks, he has plenty of time to RMT everything and just leave a massive mess behind him.
CCP need to take action or the bazaar will soon be a place where nobody can trust each others, and that's bad for business. |

Please do not discuss ticket times, GM communications or lack of customer service on the forums.
Also, I believe by giving details of these scams you are enabling copy cat scammers. |

Issue is real and affects people.
But what do you propose to discuss in this thread?
- What actions CCP takes or should take to punish/ban the culprits? Detect the culprits?
- Details of what happened with the accounts and the characters?
- RMT?
- Response times for Tech Support?
None of these things are allowed as topics, as far as I know.
It's a... statutory troll post, if we can call it that. |

Well, maybe that is what it will take to make CCP react to this problem. I hope we wont have to come to this point.

I was interested in the fact "they" found an object traveling faster than the speed of light...which according to "THEM" means it has to arrive before it leaves which makes no sense at all, 'cause then they'd never see it, unless they happened to catch it at home AFTER it left, or met it at its destination (where ever THAT is) before it gets there!
